Google? Is it so hard to type "Inkjet Reviews" into Google? If it's too hard, here's a link right to it.. Or look up ink prices on eBay.
I'm all for pulling on the knowledge of the tech community, but seriously-- this isn't exactly difficult information to find. I've seen some pretty nifty questions asked on Slashdot, about things like cosmic rays, full-house renovation tips, clever telemarketer avoidance techniques, and even which button not to press.
But seriously-- this is about a half-step away from Slashdot's front page being a place to ask "ne1 gt dell cupn codz?"
Forget RTFA-- try STFG (Search The Floving Google)

Re:The Conclusion
Several spec sheets show Athlon 64 dual core at 93W and 65 degrees C MAXIMUM for case temp, both Intel and AMD use that measure. Internal chip temps are not published. In fact I've never seen a Thermal image of either chip showing hot spots. One review of an Athlon 64 X2 stated "...Athlon 64 X2 4800+ was able to run our benchmarks with an operating temperature of less than 40 degrees Celsius." (http://www.itreviews.co.uk/hardware/h753.htm). Until the Conroe chip goes into volume production I'm skeptical about Intel's claims.

Calcuscribe,etc.
This is the first thing that came up on a google search for portable PDA. Only can be bought in large quantities for lots of money (240 for 1-5) http://www.calcuscribe.com/ Here's another discussion about them. Should offer good reviews. http://www.itreviews.co.uk/forum/353 Here's the cheapest one I've found in what little searching I've done. http://www.adapt-it.org.uk/products/neoportablewo

And such a pretty PC too!
Mmmm, a pedestrian black plastic box. Plus a matching beige monitor. So color coordinated!

Re:What I do...
But if you're naive about the net and you go online maybe once a month...then you're a raw piece of meat in a pool full of sharks.
I am one of those naive that really don't have a clue what hardware review sites to trust. My comfort is that I am probably far from alone, in this matter.
To assist me and other naives(sp?), please join this silly poll and review the following sites (regarding credibility) with a scale ranging from 1 to 10, where 1 is "No credibility at all" and 10 is "Perfect credibility, these guys wouldn't post a biased review for world domination":
About PC Hardware Reviews
Ace's Hardware
Anandtech
Ars Technica
Beyond 3D
Cnet Reviews

If you know only a few of them, give your opinion on those.
Maybe someone with the right facilities could set up an independent poll? -

Re:Uh, no, its the ls240
Your tech guy seems to be on the right track, but a little mistaken. The LS-240 is RW. For 1.44MB floppies, 1.44MB floppies formatted to 32MB, 120MB LS-120 "superdisks" and 240MB LS-240 floppy disks.
He is correct in stating that you write to the 32MB formatted floppies as you would a CDR (setting what files to put on an image and then writing that image to disk), however it does support rewriting through writing the whole modified image again...
Panasonic LS-240.
I am not convinced that you cannot formatted the disk back to 1.44MB. -
Re:Uh, no
I don't know how they could get 32 MB.
Panason LS-240 does it. -
Pr0n Leads the way

n _leads_the_way.php:I found a pretty insightful rant (safe for work) copied from the business guy at the altporn site Suicide Girls. I wish the RIAA would start tracking how people hear about the albums that they buy, so that they could stop freaking out.
Porn has a long history of figuring out how to use new media to their advantage. Perhaps because porn is driven by our basest instinct we understand it on far deeper levels than widget building, and can apply that understanding to things that we don't fully comprehend intellectually. Maybe it's just because there's such intense competition in the industry that forces companies to innovate. I'm sure there's a "free hand of the market" joke in there, but I'll be damned if I can find it.
The VCR was largely decried by the MPAA because they saw it as cutting into their profits. When the VCR was still new, MPAA president Jack Valenti said the VCR is [to the movie industry]...as the Boston strangler is to the woman home alone. (which of course means that he wasn't opposed to the VCR). A driver of early VCR purchases was being able to watch porn movies without having to go to theaters filled with creepier people than you. Fast forward 20 years and that Boston strangler makes up a huge portion of movie studio profits.
While I'm skeptical that porn can drive any technology - who really needs porn on their cellphone at blazing speeds - the porn industry typically ahead of the curve. Let's hope the RIAA realizes this and stops suing 12 year old girls.

Re:Nothing New from Gateway!
> Gateway actually had a PC with a monitor with a built in PC about 4 years ago (I don't think it was LCD).
That would probably be the Gateway Astro, and, yes, it didn't use a LCD, but rather a CRT. -
