How can it not be legal to point out a speed trap when many are announced in advance by the police department and published by local media? For example, near Des Moines, Iowa: http://www.kcci.com/news/traff... Amusingly, one police department near Des Moines publishes the plans on their Facebook page.

Yes, they are. Here are the citations for those so inclined:

TSA searching cars pulling up to the loading/unloading ramp at an airport

I'm sure there are more, but that should be enough to prove that no, the powers-that-be aren't limiting violations of the 4th Amendment to the airports.

...I'd be surprised if they don't want to expand their coverage to trans and buses as soon as it's feasible.

Yeah, exactly! Fortunately, TSA only conducts searches at airports before you board the airplane and they never, ever, direct train passengers to a secure area (where it wasn't otherwise necessary for them to go) at the END of a trip BY TRAIN. Because that would just be absurd. How soon will the government apologists be arguing that if you leave your house, you are giving implied consent to be searched?

How about the government goes back to respecting the spirit of the 4th Amendment? You don't have the right to conduct an invasive pat-down or electronic strip search until and unless you have a bona fide reason to suspect that I might be a danger to other airline passengers, and no, buying a ticket is not a "reasonable suspicion."

In Iowa on Aug. 21, a school administrator ordered 5 high school girls to undergo a strip search after another girl reported a $100 missing from her locker. Iowa law forbids strip searches of students by school officials (I believe only police with parents present can do so), but the administrator claimed local school board policy supersedes state law and did so anyway. Said administrator is now "on leave". Story here.

Remember, it's your child; specifically, 50% you. You have the right to know what's going on, why this is needed/required; what's going to happen with the data. And you have the right to say "No".

Seeing as how they found out from the FCC that such a plan would in fact be illegal they've given up on the idea: http://www.kcci.com/news/20237550/detail.html The priorities of the schools here are just insane.. first the Des Moines schools decide to become the Internet Police of their students both in and out of school, now this..

I've seen photos of her dressed similar to Shirley Temple, dressed as a Vegas showgirl, dressed as a school girl, a Nashville country queen, but I haven't found the "cheap whore" photos of her. Sure, the Mom dolled up her daughter, but why the intense animosity? Playing dressup with your daughter doesn't lead to the conclusion that parents were involved in child sex abuse, which is a leap that many made.
