    Captchas are annoying, but systems like Kittenauth are easy for humans to answer while defeating bots. If you have the user perform a task like "Click two pictures of kittens" it's very difficult for a bot to do this.

    Personally I just keep it simple on my site, I have a box that says "Please type 'I am a human.'" into the box below. If that input field is empty or doesn't match then you know it was submitted by a bot.

    Looks like it is time to implement KittenAuth.

    KittenAuth presents a series of pictures, and you have to select the ones that are kittens, in order to prove you are a human.

    You just gave me this horrible vision of someone combining KittenAuth with that dog for those Bacon Bits that always goes "Bacon! Bacon! Gotta find the bacon!!!" Spammers don't know it's not bacon!

    Damn commercials, all this time and it's still rotting my brain!

    I would suggest maybe putting in Captchas for every spot you might submit a post, etc. This way, bots cannot or have more difficulty making posts. Here are more links I had on these, but I haven't looked at them in a while...

    Kitten authentication! It's perfect! Identifying small, cute, furry animals needs a basic cultural background in animals common to the West, but at the same time requires little or no intelligence (plus, it's fun!).
