Re:CHOSEN TO SHOW THE WORLD
Sorry to Reply to my own post; but I want to correct the Klaatu reference:
The song with the Backwards lyrics was "Silly Boys", on their third album, "Sir Army Suit". They LYRICS from that song are from the song "Anus of Uranus" from their FIRST album, which I believe was called :"Sub Rosa Subway", How the backwards lyrics from one song ended up on another song is explained here. -
Re:Why?"Did he see Uranus?"
Easily found at 3:47 est

Re:Ahhh, 8 tracks - good for at least 30 plays"It's '67, and I'm not sure what's scarier - bad Acid or riding in my buddies old chevy with the Association singing 'aaaannnnndddd thhheeeennnn aaaalllloooonnnnggggg coommmmmmessssss Marrrrrrrryyyyyyyyyyyyyyy'"
Well, just fast forward to the end of the 70's....and switch the 8-track from the Association, to either Led Zeppelin, or Klaatu.....the latter especially goes good with that acid.

Re:It's a No BrainerWhat has Apple Records released since the Beatles?
Well, we have Mary Hopkin way back when.
Then we have Badfinger. Looks like their first five albums were on Apple records. I happen to like Badfinger. I have Magic Christian Music on vinyl unopened. I suggest this one. It was a boot they released themselves with little or no enhancement. Great live music!
But I can't think of any more. I thought Klaatu was but was mistaken.
Just google around. You find some interesting related stuff.
But yeah, nothing recent.

Re:bragging timeActually...the song in question has lyrics HERE, last song on the first album. For those of you too young...back in the mid 70's, this group was very secretive, and a rumour went around that this was a 'Beatles' ablbum put out incognito...
Great tunes to listen to if you're in an 'altered state'.....especially this one.
If you've never heard of them...give them a try....1st 2 albums are very interesting....

Re:When you say "robot' I instantly think of. . .
By the way, if you're a Gort fan, like I am, make sure you read Harry Bates's short story 'Farewell to the Master' upon which the movie 'The Day the Earth Stood Still' was based. In the story, the robot was named 'Gnut' (I guess the movie people didn't want everyone asking "Why is the robot named Newt?"). It's a very clever short story, and Gnut is a pretty complex character.
Someone has the story online.
Also, speaking of 'Day the Earth Stood Still' there's a band from late 70's/early 80's named Klaatu, which I think has some of the best 'science fiction songs' ever written: Around the Universe in 80 Days, Little Nuetrino, Calling Occupants of Interplanetary Craft.
Ok, I didn't realize until now that I'm a fanboy.
