Re:PS3 vs WiiI like this video very much, but to paint the PS3 as "not sexy" seems kinda flawed.
Actually, I don't. Remember how people joked at the size of the original X-box? The PS3 is bigger. The Wii has a sleek, technical/industrial design. Sony should have "slapped another coat of Pretty" on the PSX and called it a day.

Re:NO HARD DRIVE!!
I imagine this is part of the reason for the speculation of 2 versions. A gaming system really has no use for a HD, but a "Home Server" ala TIVO basically has to have one. They have already done this with the PSX. This thing is still probably 2 years off, so maybe some new breakthough storage will come oout by then.

Hah!
Like more than a dozen people actually have 1000 hours of LEGAL music. That's like 1000 CDs. Or, about $15,000 worth of CDs. Apple joins the piracy tool supporters of the world.. right on! Fight for your "freedom!"

DreamcastThe dreamcast development scene is quite good. I suggest some of the standard places like Marcus Comstedt's Page and Dan Potter's DC Dev Page. I've just bought myself the serial slave cable from Lik Sang and I plan to start coding soon.
I don't know what the PS2 situation is like.

Other things for GBA already available...
..aside from the glare reducers, 'plain' screen shields, screen magnifiers, lights (both marketed for GBA and actually designed for GBA -- the GBA using less power for the bulb and requiring a better one), stickers (which could be good for the white system which is damn bright in the sun, seriously so), hand grips, and joystick extensions available, (try www.liksang.com) there are also a few other things going on with GBA that are technologically impressive for its so recent of a release date. There is a lot of homebrew and open source GBA development going on, which aside from the emulators is aided by the '64mbit Advance Flash card and Advance linker'. It connects to the PC Parallel port and transfers ROM images to its somewhat small 8MB memory. GBA supports 256MB or even larger per cart (bankswitching baby) so a larger card is necessary, but try www.visoly.com for obtaining one and there are also a few good links to the development stuff going on there. Additionally, I would like to add I and many other GBA enthusiasts would pay damn good money for a better system. I would prefer one that is very small, and uses a passthrough to a genuine GBA cart for backing up [ahem] savegames as well as passing through any potential lockout chips, and also contains a PC Card type 2 slot supporting both SmartMedia and Compact Flash via adapters cards. Or just support one or the other, just make it please!

Re:Now give DC a keyboard, mouse, X & a browser!
Is there any easy way to connect any sort of standard keyboard and mouse to a dreamcast (like firewire or usb, maybe?). I know the ps2 has these ports, so it should be very possible to turn a ps2 into a really versatile computer with *STANDARD* components, right?
Well obviously Sega make quite a bit of money in you buying their gear, but the people at LikSang, a Hong-Kong based firm, make all sorts of hacky bits of hardware including a combined PS/2 keyboard and Playstation joypad adaptor, a memory card which plugs into your parallel port to store saves on your hard drive and a serial cable for you to download your own code onto the machine (which is how most guerilla development seems to be going on). All seems quite cheap, and they're very UK/US friendly, despite the $25 minimum order charge and `postage on application' policy :-) Try Jules' site for some more information and links to amateur Dreamcast development development. I'm just getting into it myself, though I think my DC is one of the very first which won't boot CDRs (grr mumble mutter etc.)
