Not to defend D.H. Brown, but --Correction. It is not a summary, but the "Conclusions" chapter from the real report. I should be completely out of my mind to pay $995 for the other chapters that led to this FUD.
BTW, how many CPU's are in Dave Millers Ulrapenguin box?
If they want to compare Linux' scalabilaty with Solaris, then that's fine with me, because I don't see Linux running on a 10000 yet, but to say that NT has a better scalabilaty is laughable at least. -

Look here for a nice dmesg...

Please Clarify, Mr. Iams"[Mr. Iams] said Linux current lacks some of the
feathres demanded by corporations ... . Among them are the ability to run simultaneously on many processors in a single computer and to keep a log of what the computer has done."
The first problem: "Run simultanously on many processors" has been answered by SMP.
The second problem: "Keep a log of what the computer has done." Needs some clarifications. If they want process accounting, here's a bunch of Accounting packages for Debian (Yes, you can find them in RPM format too). If you want to know _exactly_ what the computer is doing... Look at the source. Try that with IBM's Unix

Can't get Linux to work at all on my Toshiba

Tux in IBM
A Linux-using friend who worked in IBM acquired a Tux recently. The person who made it spent ages hunting around for the correct shade of blue for his tie. I saw a photo of it later, busily controlling the NOC. I didn't see the tie, though. Maybe Tux took it off? Perhaps he's a hacker too. The picture is available at ftp.linux.org.uk/pub/linux/evil-p enguin.jpg.

Geeks should seek partners outside geekdom.
Well, I for one would like to find someone who understand my passion for computers and geeky things. She doesn't need to be my equal or greater than. Not that that wouldn't be nice. I think I good example would be our open source hero Alan Cox and his wife I'm not sure I'd document my life on the web though. But it makes for very interesting reading.

It's a diagram of the CPUs in the shot.

checksum.c error in 2.2.0
See http://roadrunner.swansea.linux.or g.uk/clue.html
If you have a arch/i386/lib/checksum.c remove it. That became arch independant in the 2.2.x series IIRC

good business decision
They didn't even do all the porting. See Russell King's ARM port, from which Corel's Linux is derived.
