    Slashdot really does cause a flood of traffic to a site if they are slashdotted... I know first hand because my site www.linuxstolescocode.com got slashdotted a few months back and my hosting provider (www.ScottsdaleHosting.com) gave me free bandwidth and hosting during this period and my site never went down, I was amazed! Would have hated to see the bill for the extra bandwidth, I guess I lucked out.

    I still can't believe that slashdot can send so much traffic that it shuts sites down. I also love wikipedia, I use it at least twice a day.

    first step;
    pull an all-nighter and see how many lines you can trace back to code written under a GPL or BSD licence, code released by AT&T, Caldera and other incarnations of thescogroup, or code which the original authors can reasonably prove they wrote.

    The first few pages of 'stolen code' SCO revealed were proven to be completely legit within days.

    Hint; Google is an excellent way to track down alledged "stolen SCO code in linux"

    I found a site that put a nice little twist on this whole SCO vs. Linux thing. The site is http://www.linuxstolescocode.com, it is very new and the site is not completely up yet, but the first page is hilarious! You have to look at the first page very carefully and don't be to quick to hit the back button on your browser! (hint) Read carefully!
