I think you need to get away from the "holster" idea. Even my Galaxy S4 in a holster is a bit too big for belt mount and frequently gets in the way.

I think you'd be better served with a small bag.

Maxpedition makes some pretty rugged gear with lots of storage and pockets, but it isn't pretty. Check out their GearSlinger line.

Yeah, black nylon on black denim is the way to go. Personally, I find the mid-size rollypoly does ok for a 9-10" tablet (tested with HP Touchpad, Asus Transformer, and Motorola Xoom), with the bonus of rolling up for more discreetness when I'm not carrying the tablet. From the description, it seems the mini rollypoly would be OK for 7" tablets, but I don't have one and so haven't tried that.

My keys are stored and grouped on individual key rings. All four key rings are joined with two key rings made from aviation cable available from here: http://countycomm.com/ring.htm I wear a Maxpedition Keyper key retention loop on my belt that the key rings attach to. I don't think it's a good idea for one to only use one's pockets for storing any physical object that you need with you on a daily basis. This includes your keys, wallet, cell phone, change, etc. I highly recommend the use of a belt bag that can keep your wallet, cell phone, change, and other objects from getting lost. I nearly lost one of my key rings at a store once. I was lucky in that some unknown stranger turned in the key ring to the store. When I'm in casual clothing, I put my key rings on a large metal locking carabiner that I have attached directly to my belt. How you organize your keys is entirely up to you. Whatever you do, just make sure from now on in that nothing gets lost.

There are two blades, one serrated and one plain. The blade length isn't described, so I measured my Wave. The length of each blade is approximately 3 inches. The sharpened portion of both blades is 2.5 inches.

• Timbuk2: Supposedly top quality custom made bike messenger bags that come in four sizes (S,M,L,XL). They have a newer Shortcut bag that looks particularly interesting. Certainly not cheap.
• Manhattan Portage: These seem a little too hip and trendy for me, but they are certainly popular with the NYC crowd... especially the Model 1414 and various DJ bags. Not horribly priced, but not cheap.
• Maxpedition: I don't know much about this place. There are some people that recommend their Thermite Versipacks.
• e-Holster: Heh. No.
• SCOTTeVEST: Some people actually say these are cool. But it doesn't meet my design criteria of not wanting to wear a vest/jacket/etc all the time. What about summer?!
• Kelty supposedly has some smaller bags that people have used as well.
