Acre of Saturn
Well, that makes the moon acre people obsolete. Why would anyone buy an acre of moon grit, when they could buy an acre of liquid diamonds for just 50% more? The idea is up for grabs. Go for it. You're welcome, internet.

Re:How?
How will they pull this off? They won't. The Zhti Ti Kofft would never tolerate it! Besides, I don't think they really intend to. It is just another plot to scam investors like buying land on the moon. Former California Governor Jerry Brown was nicknamed "moonbeam" for falling for that scam. They are looking for suckers, and there is one born every minute.

Of course, there are all those people who claim that some royalty paid their great-great-great and so on grand father for some great work by giving them the moon. -

Get in while you still can!
In case you missed it, there are actually companies selling plots on the Moon and Mars. They do at least come with "maps" of the plots, which I believe some of the companies produce from pictures from one of NASA's probes.

Re:Who "owns" the moon, anyway? The Moon, along with most of the Solar System, is "owned" by Dennis M. Hope. He claims that the UN document doesn't prohibit private individuals claiming ownership of celestial bodies, and in 1980 filed a Declaration of Ownership with the US, USSR and UN General Assembly.
There are now various websites selling 1 acre plots of the moon on his behalf (amazingly, one of them claims 1-3 days for delivery).

I own your moonbase land!
But what .. may we ask .. will happen when (and if) the PRC build their moonbase on a bit of land that has been sold to a client of Lunar Embassy or its UK reseller Moon Estates.
Do we get the first ever Extra Planetary law suit? And what court would it be tried in? -
And when your grandchildren get there...
...they can have a place to live. About 20 pounds gets you an acre.
