Re:Justified?
everything he claims is pretty much backed by facts
Actually, it has been proven that almost every fact he uses in his movies are twisted lies and propoganda. Almost every single one can be proven to be completely made up, or an actual fact that he twisted to make his point. The reason he hasn't been sued for libel or slander is because of freedom of speech.
Mr. Moore relies on people being too lazy to look up facts for themselves, allowing those people to be tricked by his propoganda and lies. In fact, Mr. Moore has made millions of dollars tricking people and telling people what they want to hear. I would not want be surprised if Mr. Moore was hired by the Democratic party but no one will ever know, and do you know why? Because at the moment, it is cool to be a Democrat. The media has done a very good job of creating a bandwagon of GOP haters. It is easier for people to join what they think to be the larger and stronger cause, hence mob mentality. The media has become so one sided, that Democrats can get away with murder and Republicans can't get away with not crossing a t.
Allow me to back up my argument for a moment with a few quick facts about Fahrenheit 9/11: 1)During the movie, Mr. Moore flashes a newspaper article stating "Latest Flordia Recount shows Gore Won Election". Later it was found out that there never was any headline such as that, but rather he re-typeset a letter to the editor of a newspaper with that title onto the front page of the newspaper. 2) Mr. Moore states that the bin Laden clan was flown out of the country right after 9/11, however the 9/11 committee report states "first, we found no evidence that any flights of Saudi nationals, domestic or international, took place before the reopenning of national airspace on the morning of September 13, 2001. To the contrary, every flight we have identified occurred after national airspace reopened. Second, we found no evidence of any political intervention. (Discussion of how decision was made by Richard Clarke in coordination with the FBI)." There are millions of inconsistancies such as these in his movie, a few of them documented here: http://www.mooreexposed.com/911.html. I would consider these "inconsistances" as lies.
By the way, I am not out to change your political views. I respect everyone's opinion, even those who disagree with my own. Political conflict is one of the things that make our nation great. All I ask is that you see things from my point of view. -

Michael Moore Hates America
If you do need to give it a chance, read what the other side has to say, but keep your B.S. detector on for both. Acting the windup zealot for the sake of Moore or his critics will make you look like a fool.
Or, you could save your money and watch a real documentary on PBS or BBC. -
Moore Moore Moore!Watch Moore get fatter!.
See Michael Moore expose himself.
See how much Michael Moore lied about.
Watch a movie more closely based on reality than any of Michael Moore's films.
Even the Internet Video Pirates refuse to watch and record his film, does that tell you something?

Anyone asking about what facts Moore has ever twisted or lied about should check out www.mooreexposed.com. Interesting site--particularly about bowling for columbine.

Re:Farenheit 911
I would assume that because of his previous record--such as bowling for columbine. Check out www.mooreexposed.com
To be fair, I haven't seen F911 yet, so I won't rightfully comment on anything in there.
Though i will say I've found Moore's behavior with regards to Bradbury very unprofessional. Apparently Bradbury tried to get in touch with Moore to complain about the name 6 months to a year ago, was told Moore would call him back, and got a call back last week (months after the first call). Personally I hope Moore has to change the name and pay penalties--at the very least he should have talked to Bradbury when the issue was first raised. -
With all the reviews I have read -
I've read several reviews, and they all contain 2 points that give me pause. The first is that this film is a "documentary" and the second is that it's very, very biased with only one point of view provided. Take the recent CNN, or NYT reviews for example.
According to webster a documenary is "factual and objective". How can this film be considered a "documentary" when even the most favorable reviewer(CNN in our example) comments that it's not even close to fair or balanced?
Considering Michaels last error and bias filled "documentary" aren't Michael Moores movies more "commentary" or propoganda? Why do people insist in calling obviously biased (ie not objective) and factually inaccurate movies "documentaries"? With so much questionable content - can these films even be called good movies? Remember the first amendment protects false speech just as much as it protects truthful speech.

Whats even sadder is that many people will simply ignore the facts if they don't agree with their opinion. With that fact in play, perhaps an objective documentary is dead. After all - a clear and objective presentation would require a great deal of thought on a complicated issue with no easy answers.
Instead of honest debate we get comments like "The arabs aren't ready for democracy". At one time, blacks weren't ready to sit at the front of the bus, women weren't ready to vote and latino's weren't ready for white schools. The pundits that made the aforementioned comments were wrong and bigotted. Some things never change.

Michael Moore wiki, exposed, and analysed.
See the Sources critical of Michael Moore in the wiki for more links. I saw the movie yesterday, and although I believe there are two sides to every story, and that Moore has twisted some of the facts, there are still some alarming truths within that should not be ignored. -
Some questions
Do you mean a documentary or a "documentary"?
A genuine question for Moore fans: doesn't it bother you even slightly that Moore expects you not to independently verify what he presents as fact? You're supposed to be geeks, people who're capable of thinking "out of the box". And doesn't it bother you that Michael Moore is personally getting very, very rich out of September 11th? -
Re:Fits the pattern.
Why should I care what Moore thinks? Practically everything out of the man's mouth is a lie. His own sources usually end up disproving his statements. You're gonna need a better source than that to convince me of anything.

The sad thing is..
that people belive Michael Moore's propaganda
not to mention that its just bad practice to use one single source to come to a conclusion on ANYTHING
(here is another website debunking Moore)
