I already know you claim that you have some knowledge of child development, you claim to be over 20 years of age, and you claim to be financially independent. While the other stuff may be condescension, the pivotal point here is the "knowledge of child development".

How much is "this" costing tax payers, and how much is Microsoft Windows XP Professional, Microsoft Office 2003 Professional, and Micsoft Windows 2003 Server costing tax payers today? Inqiring tax payers want to know!

The UN performs these functions for the many slacker governments of the world, and by doing so makes itself out to be the "good guy". Good guy or not, providing these functions does require the authority of government. Stating "the UN is not a government" does not make it so. The UN does walk, swim, and quack like a government duck, so to me your argument does not fly.
As for the "private enterprise" argument, I say "whatever". We are not talking about all functions, just this one. The perpetual screw-ups at the UN can have "last crack" at this one, thank you very much...

Is eliminating the requirements of software sales, especially if it is NOT central to your business plan, such a heavy weight?
Listen, I am not an expert, but from what I have gleened from business folks I know is that you should do one thing (or a limited amount of closely related things) and do it exceedingly well to succeed in business. So if selling software is not your main focus, it could provide a distraction large enough to sabotage your business. If selling software is your focus, perhaps FOSS isn't your bag, man.
