Lt. Uhura's earpiece...seems to be the design prototype for a bunch of Bluetooth headsets. It's just silly. The nift factor of obviously wearing a headset will wear off very quickly, and leave the BlueSpoon users just looking like ST geeks.
OTOH, Jabra seems to have done it right.

Re:Bluetooth
Not true: Bluespoon bluetooth headsets deliver 4 hours of talk time out of a complete package weighting under 10 grams. More info here.

Microphones are so 20th century
Why not just get one of these, and hack together some software? Marginally cheaper, but much cooler, and potentially useful for more than just phone calls.
Personally, I can't wait until I can get CD-quality stereo out of two little earpieces like that. I guess the bandwidth is a bit low now, but surely Bluetooth 2.0 could do it. -
Bone ressonance headset coming out this year
If you're interested in bone ressonance headsets for your mobile phone, be sure to check out the Nextlink Bluespoon. Current product is not yet with bone resssonce technology (yet still the most lightweight bluetooth headset ever), but they will come out with a bone ressonance headset this fall.

Re:This isn't a foolish as it may sound...
And image using Nextlink Bluespoon wireless headsets to listen to your mp3s - each headset weights only 10 grams, yet runs for 8 hours - crazy!
