Why is there no benzene taste to anhydrous alcohol?
It was easy to taste it in the Perrier.
Unfortunately I had guzzled half the bottle before noticing.
Not much chance of that with the anhydrous alcohol.
This event on a cross country Delta flight.
The taste stays with you for days.
It's not something one would forget.
Anhydrous alchohol used to show up at military surplus auctions. Back when everything that wasn't munitions or classified went to auction. These days you can't even buy perfectly good surplus paint and you can forget anything with a luminous dial.

Perhaps a planeload of these fine, upstanding citizens is your cup of tea. Personally, I'd rather have better detection systems and better trained airport security personnel.

I seem to recall under US law you're allowed to kill people if you've eaten a Twinkie (whatever that is)... and not just by sitting on them.

I was under the impression that GSM phones encrypted their communications, exactly to prevent this kind of thing? Of course, I don't know about those other systems you've got in the US, and if you're still running analogue phones, you're hosed, but in most of the world, you should be fairly secure.

Certainly in the UK the insecurity of analogue systems came very much to the fore with a few high-profile scanning incidents, one of which involved a rather saucy conversation between Prince Charles and his lover, Camilla Parker-Bowles, which may be one of the reasons that digital systems overtook the analogue ones so quickly.

He's suggesting the victims should use the Twinkie defense. The sad offshoot of which is scurvy.
