Um... not only are immigrants a relatively small part of the population, but they are overwhelmingly working age, which means they contribute in taxes more than they take away in services. They make UBI more attainable, not less.

First off you use the phrase immigrants, which ignores the vast distinction between legal and illegal immigration. This is very disingenuous. It is well known that legal immigrants are more likely to be skilled labor while illegal immigrants are almost always unskilled labor. Skilled labor can be a win for the US while unskilled labor is always a loss. The loss on illegal immigration is to the tune of $116 billion annually. Every year. The crime rate is higher than average for illegal immigrants, especially for drunk driving deaths. This is of course ignoring the facts that Obama has a "jobs czar" that got paid taxpayer money to send jobs to China, over 10,000 in fact, that his VP is a paid shill for the media companies, the 20 billion he passed out to "friends of Obama" using "green energy" as an excuse, that every single petition that has been anything other than "Can you tell us how you are so wonderful?" has gotten a flowerly "LOL fuck off peasant" response, refused to stop illegals and tied the hands of Arizona when they tried to protect Americans which are dying every day. But that's okay, right? after all he's "one of us" so he is "good" and therefor the other must be "bad" right? All go to hell except cave 76!

Maybe you ought to look at your dear leader's record and tell me what EXACTLY would have been different if it had been McSame instead of Nobama? Look at the crime rates in the border states and you'll find their crime rates are climbing like mad, their jails are about to explode, are you will to pay a 30% tax increase for the increased police, prisons, medical care, etc to take care of them? We already don't have jobs for the people we do have, if you look at the real numbers and not the BS numbers you are looking at around 24% unemployment, and in minorities its much worse.

Like it or not we are broke folks, we can't even pay for what we have without huge debts, and you HONESTLY expect to be able to take on every criminal that can cross the border as well? i hope you got some big pockets, or don't mind rampant inflation when the gov prints money like mad to pay for all this.

To me the worst part is as someone who voted for Obama this is just the final proof to me that the man is simply not qualified to be the leader of the USA. Instead of standing for what he believed or offering different ways of dealing with the mess he has basically chosen to completely ignore the problem so he can pander to the Latino vote, just as he pandered in the Martin case for the black vote and after being against it in 11 being for gay marriage now to pander to the LGBT vote. The man simply has no leadership abilities and has done nothing but flip flop and pander, when he's not on vacation.

That is why for the first time since Reagan VS Carter I'll vote Rep, simply because i just can't stomach such a piss poor excuse for a POTUS.

If you haven't watch "How NOT to hire an American" please do and pay attention, and then look in the local tech ads. Sadly you'll see that has become the how to playbook for the H1-b disease and you'll be able to spot it easy peasy once you know what you are looking for. they do the same things outlined in the video, such as ask for experience that can't be had (such as 10 years experience with a tech that's only been out 5 years) or ask for pie in the sky experience reqs for a job that pays one fifth what someone with that level of exp would actually get (such as 10 years project management, 5 years each in C, C++, Java, and .NET for a job that pays $19k a year) and then of course if any American is desperate enough to apply they'll just keep upping the ante on what they "require' until they can disqualify him and hire an H1-B. And look up "H1-B abuse" and you'll find story after story of abuse, last numbers I saw estimated more than 45% of the H1-Bs currently in this country were being underpaid and/or were being brought in for jobs where Americans were plentiful, just not at the pittance they wanted to pay.

I do NOT have a problem with immigrants, my own family came over during the potato famine. What I DO have a problem with is using scabs to try to turn every job into a McJob. we will NEVER have a vibrant American tech workforce if they can plainly see that they will have to pay $60k+ for a degree then be expected to compete with some guy the corp can pay $22k a year, its no different to what the illegals are doing to the blue collar sectors, where construction jobs that USED to pay well enough a man could feed his family now pay less than the manager at micky D and where you can yell "Immigra!" at any construction site and watch the workforce scatter like deer. On just that one page you now have more Americans dead than were lost at the towers, all thanks to greed.

And I would also point out that NEVER, not even once, have you seen Rev Al Gore come out for increased tariffs on China or India, two of the biggest growing polluters on the planet and who have already said they won't play the carbon swap game. So I'm sorry but until we see a plan that doesn't consist of "hey you should give large chunks of money to me and my friends, while helping China and India to completely bury your economy!" then I say they can all fuck right off. We have three wars, an economy that has lost more than 20,000 FACTORIES to outsourcing not jobs mind you, whole factories, and a shamefully porous border that is killing Americans daily. So frankly we have bigger things to worry about that guarding some probes. Let the EU do it.

Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, California...you have no foreign borders. Your borders (including your southern borders) are completely within the United States. It is The United States Federal Government that has a foreign border with Mexico (as well as with Canada to the North). It is the United States Federal Government, not Arizona, not New Mexico, not California, and not Texas who are empowered to speak on behalf of the United States to the country of Mexico (likewise with the country of Canada).

By the United States Constitution only the Federal Government is empowered to decide, decree, and enforce Immigration Policy and Law.

When the Supreme Court of the United States puts Arizona in it's proper place (by overturning it's current, and any future laws regarding immigration), then you and I see which of us sits on the right side of history.
