They are certainly well-qualified to call it.
For a company that was trading at around USD60.00 per share five years ago - and now under USD4.00 per share - many stock boffins would argue that Sun is an IT&T relic in its own right (refer stock history graph).

Mirror (of sorts) for this article
Slapped-up mirror of sorts here. Might be a little quicker (for US and European slashdotters) than the Aussie original. These two articles offer additional commentary and are good for a laugh.

I phlog hard.
Another photo-sharing site not referenced in the original article is http://www.phlog.net/ (as in PHoto webLOG or PHone webLOG).
I've been using that site for a few months now (refer http://www.phlog.net/user/OzDJ) and I'm hooked. Family and friends often ask me "why would you bother?" and I tell them that I look at it this way....
I reckon that the extraordinary events/times/places that we experience typically occupy less than 5% of our conscious lifetime. The other 95% is very mundane day-to-day stuff, yet it shapes who we are and - ultimately - how the world itself advances (or otherwise). Photos of the day-to-day make up some of the best historical photographic exhibitions I've ever been to.
And when I'm on my deathbed in (hopefully many) years to come, I anticipate that my loved ones will care more about "the little stories" than "pix of Grandad's xxth birthday" or "pix of Grandad standing in front of the Taj Mahal in 19xx". And I'm far more prepared to trust those stories to an online blogging service than my already-alzheimers-affected grey matter. :-)
Cheers

Re:Ain't thinking...
It appears someone's already done that on my MMS mobile blog site... Nice.

Phlog
Don't forget phlog an on-line community developed by a friend (and regular slashdot reader). Whenever I call him up, he's always busy "phloging" which always makes me laugh. Images of him, whip in hand when really he's probably sat with his perl book. It looks fun, though I cannot use it as my T68i communicam is next to useless (see my previous comments on this subject). Go have a look, what he really needs is to be slashdotted. LMTH (laughs manically to himself)

Re:Sony-Ericson Phones
Just to add my fuel to the fire...
Thankfully I managed to offload that T86 POS off to the girlfriend and I'm using the wonderful Nokia 7650 now. I just couldn't take the T68 any more.
Basically all the same complaints as above - not receiving calls even though you have full signal, losing the address book for 4 months (where did it go? Why did it suddenly reappear?) The endless repeating text messages. It is an absolutely attrocious phone. If you take your mobile seriously, don't even think about getting one. Nasty, nasty thing. And I can't even count the number of times I deleted the 1st entry in my phonebook.
Rant over
