Re:popup ads, not the same as newspaper ads
I use Adblock to also block STUPID things websites do to promote themselves. NASCAR.com has a little video thing that plays everytime you load the page. http://www.pki.com/ also has this. I block these because I do not like to turn off sound, but I don't want to load a page and have my soundcard explode sound...especially If I am checking something at work. Sound and video at load time sucks.

Re:In other news...You know, I used to work as a sound technician at an amusement park about a mile from the WLW transmitter. In the morning, when the background music amplifiers were turned off, you could actually hear WLW by pressing your ear to a speaker. It was loudest on circuits that had a lot of cable connected to relatively few speakers.

Re:And in other news...
You forgot The Beast!

Re:I think this is good.
I'd much rather see Mike the Cable Techinician than Mickey Mouse!
Don't you mean Chip Douglas the Cable Guy? Pick quotes for great moderation.
(Yes, I know The Cable Guy is by Columbia not Disney, but precedent exists: a Paramount park in Ohio has a Hanna-Barbera themed area, and Hanna-Barbera is Warner.)

Re:Engineering???
Agreed.
The Beast and Son of Beast (looped wooden coaster with only a lap bar) are two of my favorite coasters of all time. -

Re:In rural Ohio
If you're going to Ohio for roller coasters, may I suggest King's Island, just outside of Cincinnati. Maybe not as many roller coasters as Cedar Point, but it has a few that are must-rides for any true coaster fan. They've got more miles of wooden roller coaster than anyplace else on Earth and the only wooden coaster with a loop.

Re:two rides
You really need to see Cedar Point - and while you're here, hit King's Island and maybe even Magic Mountain. Disney's not famous for great roller coasters, and from what we understand, EuroDisney sucks.

Re:And that's fun?
Not all indoor coasters suck.
Flight of Fear at King's Island (Cincinnati) is one of the best coasters out there.
If you want to experience two of the best days of your life hit Cedar Point and Kings Island over two days. -
Re:ok let's see WHO they will be working for!!!!!
Kind of makes me sick.....he is going to have PKI crammed down his throat then take it back to the military!
Don't knock PKI until you've tried it. I still consider The Beast to be the best coaster around this part of the world. -
Ohio's King's Island != Cedar Point
King's Island is MUCH better than Cedar Point. Wooden Coasters that last 3+minutes are way cooler than any steel she-ite.
plus, PKI will open the new SON OF BEAST in 2000
Mmmm.... Looping WOODEN Coaster -
Re:Ohio Kicks Ass
Yup, this plus Kings Island's new coaster that's being built right now. It's going to be called Son of Beast after the legendary Beast on the other side of the park. Son of Beast will break almost all wooden coaster records (The Beast will still be the longest). Check it out here.
Man, I love having Cedar Point and Kings Island so close. Now, if only I could convince my wife to take a day off to go to Cedar Point.
