Re:Coherent plan vs. terrorism
A suicide bomber is merely a poor country's F-16.
What a catchy, yet spectacularly naive comment.
The Islamists, have openly stated their aim to kill all of the Jews. Read the Hamas Charter, and tell me which bit of that is unclear.
Meanwhile, any number of other poor countries, who don't receive billions in aid like the Palestinians, also don't resort to suicide bombing - a crime against humanity - because they lack the Islamic indoctrination.
There are no Tibetan suicide bombers. There are no Ethiopian suicide bombers. Sub-Saharan Africa doesn't have daily television inciting young African children to blow themselves up. Palestinian Children are brought up on it.
You have completely whitewashed the Islamic background to this form of terrorism. The proof? Christian Palestinians don't blow themselves up. Ever.

Re:I fail to see the issue here...
Oh please. That was clearly a staged photo op by some douchebag journalist. I defy you to find five more examples. you won't find even two.
On the other hand, have a look at daily Palestinian television and see the sort of sick incitement of those children, to die for Allah.
Sure you had sympathy for the Israelis. Sure.

Re:Sweet!
You can compare certain aspects of the Holocaust, but claiming that a Holocaust is taking place in Gaza right now, is not only a lie, but one that takes away from the memory of the real Holocaust.
The dehumanization that went in the Holocaust may be compared, perhaps, to the dehumanization of the Jews in Hamas's media (unfavorably, not even that comes close to what the Nazis did in the media), but to claim Israel is dehumanizing Palestinians in any similar manner? Please back that up with some links. -
Re:Please stay on topic
If you disbelieve how awful Palestinian propaganda really is, take a look at Palestinian Media Watch. If you believe those cartoons and videos are fakes generated by the Israeli site, please say so.

Re:Enough already
Or where certain peoples didn't teach their kids that murder and death are good things to aspire to:
http://sweetness-light.com/archive/palestinian-kids-mama-killed-five-jews-shes-in-paradise
The fact is, small children are REGULARLY used by AQ, Taliban, Hamas and Hezbollah to carry out terror attacks. Why? Because people don't naturally connect children with danger. Thus, the scumbags in terrorist organizations brainwash kids into doing their dirty work.
Wanna see a suicide bomber in-training? Here: http://knighthospitilar.files.wordpress.com/2007/04/suicide_bomber_1_.jpg
Those bombs are obviously fake, but who's to say that this kid won't be strapping on REAL ones next?
This is the culture of the terrorists. Death, Destruction, and Murder. And it has been like this for WAY longer than the US has been involved in the middle east, so please, no intellectually dishonest attempts to blame this on the US or the west. These people have done this to themselves.
Don't believe me? Then watch the videos for yourself: http://www.pmw.org.il/tv%20part1.html
It's a sad, sick world when a child grows up with a hateful dream of blowing themselves to bits while murdering innocents. These people need to answer for what they are doing to their children, and their so-called religious and political leaders need to pay the deadly price for bringing such evil into the world.
All you Liberals out there need to stop excusing their evil and open your eyes. -
Re:How can anyone think profiling works?
But over 97% of mass-murders are commited by muslim men (and women). See khartoem, sudan, mogadishu and ethiopia (and others) for the current big problems.
Then there is the question as to WHY this is the case. And then you check the muslim holy book, you know, the one they always tell you to check, and :
"But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the infidels wherever ye find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem of war; but if they repent, and establish regular prayers and pay Zakat, then open the way for them: for Allah is Oft- forgiving, Most Merciful." (Quran 9:5)
And then you say ... hmmm. (btw there's tons more of statements like that in the koran)
Add to that that every muslim mass-murderer also says that he did it because of these verses and then you start seeing the problem.
--
Let's make a comparison. Why these 2 things. First nothing about racism you can easily compare any two things, especially 2 things that are basically ideas. Why these 2 ? Because it illustrates a glaring problem :
Islam - Nazism
1. Does the ideology inspire people to kill others ?
Islam - Yes, as the londen bomber said "He who kills in the name of allah is excused", see http://www.thereligionofpeace.com/ for a more complete list
Nazism - Yes, see "Final Solution", amongst others
2. Does the ideology inspire people to repress large parts of their own population with extreme measures ?
Islam - Yes, see http://www.speroforum.com/site/article.asp?idartic le=6845
Nazism - Yes, http://fcit.usf.edu/Holocaust/people/victims.htm
3. Is the ideology completely opposed to personal choice and democracy ?
Islam - Yes, see http://islam.tc/ask-imam/view.php?q=15522
Nazism - Yes, see takeover and disbanding of parliament in Germany before the war
4. Does the ideology indoctrinate children with ideas of hate ?
Islam - Yes, see http://www.pmw.org.il/schoolbooks.html (I couldn't find the link about the western "madrassas", that are at least equally bad)
Nazism - This is how they "started" (if you are willing to accept that nazism started, while in reality it has always existed, and prevails even today, but this is what allowed it to expand enough to do damage)
Isn't this exactly what made nazism bad ? Why do we forgive muslims for forcing idiocies like this on their children ?
So you see "islamofascism" is not that bad a name for the ideology of terrorists/taliban/iran's mullahs(/saudis) (because they also match on the other points, the socialism part). It has the added advantage of implying that someone can be muslim without being an islamofascist. (btw, in every muslim country, like egypt, or morocco, they call the terrorists "islamists", also implying a direct connection between the religion and the terrorism)
So yes, if someone is muslim, we try check if they are an islamofascist or not. That's just common sense. A muslim and an islamofascist are 2 coins of the same ideology. If muslims did this themselves, like we try to prevent our own children from becoming nazi's or racists, there would be much less of a problem, and the checks would wither away and die. -
Re:The unit will also
You should check out arab textbooks.

And then decide who is worse. -
Re:Pacifism != PassivismSay what??? Are you perhaps quoting Fox News on that?
Perhaps he's quoting the groups.
I would like to enlighten you on the subject of Israel vs the rest of the arabic world, and inform you that the aggressor in this conflict is not Libanon, it is not Palestine, it is Israel.
Aggressor? What a joke. Not only is Israel passive, it's obsessive-passive. It puts doormats to shame. Israel has surrendered everything (every kind of thing, that is) in hopes of attaining peace, but received only scorn and bloodshed as thanks, followed by more demands and threats against it. Over eighty percent of the current Israeli political spectrum adheres to pacifism of Islamic terror to a large degree. That doesn't mean they won't eventually retaliate against terrorists, but that doesn't make them aggressors.
All Israel's fighting has been purely defensive. Read up on some facts before you go spilling your ignorance again in a public place. Or watch History in a Nutshell.

Re:Jesus Christ!
I have no idea where you are getting your facts from, your statement is totally wrong,
No, it's very correct. I base my conclusions on facts, not on any kind of religion.
please include a URL supporting your statements next time.

And there's more:
Only 41% of Palestinians viewed the attack on the world trade center as terrorism. Only 46% thought the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 was an act of terrorism.
http://www.pcpsr.org/survey/polls/2001/p3a.html
http://www.imra.org.il/story.php3?id=13420
In this poll only 36% of Palestinians thought 9/11 was an act of terrorism.

Thousands more can be found. Google is your friend. My favorite terrorist supporters are the ones in SE Asia (I think it was Bangladesh) that were running around with any pictures they could find of Osama Bin Laden, including one that had Burt the muppet from Sesame Street beside Bin Laden's shoulder! Here's the link http://politicalhumor.about.com/library/images/blo samabert2.htm .
Oh, and by the way, "Palenstinians" is correctly spelt: Palestinians
Dude, its called a typo. They come easily when you do not have spell check. -
Re:Information about drones?
If you're playing soldier within 200 meters of actual soldiers, and your role in play is to be their enemy, I'd put you up for a Darwin Award. And that's exactly what this article claims.
Sure sounds to me like they were "seeking Shahada", and got what they wanted. If that's their attitude, quite honestly I see no moral problem with bringing them their wish before they strap on a suicide bomb and kill innocents.
That aside, the drone was almost certainly like any other drone -- remote controlled by IDF soldiers, not an AI.

Re:Protocols of Zion
Although unquestionably a forgery, the Protocols of the Elders of Zion is taken seriously by more than a few cranks. It is widely circulated in the Arab world where it is used to stir up hatred of Jews. According to the Egyptian newspaper al-Usbu', the new Alexandria Library, a showpiece with substantial international support, put an Arabic translation of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion on display in the same case as the Torah, claiming that it is a central work of Jewish thought. After much criticism, they have now removed it. This posting on Language Log contains details and links. Similarly, Palestinian Authority Educational Television has repeatedly broadcast "educational" programs about the Protocols in which it is treated as real. The most recent instance of this was on December 28th. Palestine Media Watch issued this report, which includes an English-language transcript.
Before someone starts a flame war, this is not a statement about the situation in Iraq, Israel, Islam, Al-Qaeda or any other issue.
