Re:I didn't realize wealth was only instant money
Bla, bla, bla. All that touchy-feely, feel-good crap can't buy me one of these [porsche.com].
And exactly what do you hope to accomplish with one of those?

Re:Imagine that!
You provide your customers with a free, easy (and legal) way of previewing your products, and they feel compelled to buy them
Can someone please tell Porsche that?
I would not mind a free, easy (and legal) way to preview the boxster Porsche for a (few years).

Speaking of Atari
It's such a shame that a company with so many on point ideas and cutting edge innovation had to be laid to rest. I have always enjoyed the content of this site, as they have made a respectable effort to preserve Atari's legacy. Take a look at their arcade exhibit, especially the 1970-1974 page. There is also solid content on some interesting projects and prototypes that you probably had no idea Atari even attempted, like the AtariTel division, which developed phones designed by Porsche. Many interesting pictures...

Re:Try a nice Book :
that first Electric car came out in 1954
Actually, try 1900. It was an early Porsche design. -
Re:Proof that Artists Don't Understand Programming
Your comparison is simply irrelevant to the discussion. Getting laid (or lack thereof) is simply a bi-product who you are, not whether or not your an artist. But, if you'd like to go down this road, I know plenty of so-called geeks that get laid, probably more so than Artists, simply because we can afford to buy, oh, say one of these. I'm sure there are beautiful artists in the world, both outside as well as in, but you infer that because artists are, programmers are not. This is simply not so.
I see through your lack of insight. And beauty? All I see here is Ego.

Re:amDOH
/.'ed pretty quick.
The Register, which I'de call the European equiv to /. also ran the story so im guessing that poor server's been crunching bandwidth for a while. I too am an intel hater. Originally a Mac lover and just plain anti-PC, it wasn't until I really found out what a horrible company intel was. Plus, when I went shoppin this last summer to build my own machine, I was impressed with how small, fast, and inexpensive the K6-2s are/were. I've always figured that having a big ass chip that heats up a house is poor design: I could put a jet engine on a pinto and speed by a porsche, but i'de still have a piece of shit car.
