Re:Bicycle yes, tricycle no.
Actually, you don't need title for any vehicle under $500
What percentage are those?
you don't use gasoline
What percentage are those?
a lot of places charge for parking bikes (bike lockers, bike cages)
Which negates the charges paid by vehicles (including the electric vehicles costing less than $500) how?
everyone pays sales taxes
Which negates the sales taxes paid on vehicles (including the electric vehicles costing less than $500) how?
WE HAVE NO STATE COUNTY OR CITY INCOME TAX
You have federal income tax and federal transportation "matching" funds (which make up more like 80-90% of funds on many projects)....
, and our property taxes (which renters pay too) are what pay for roads here.
I'm sure that nobody, including renters, will object to the share of their taxes that are going to car infrastruture being expropriated for other purposes while they are told that their "handouts" are over and they should pay even more. If you aren't paying a tax specifically earmarked for something, then that something is obviously a handout. Like bike lanes, and sidewalks, and policing...
Bikes aren't allowed to ride on highways, which is where the state gas tax goes.
WRONG. "'Those taxes go to pay for Washington highways and local roads,' said [Washington State Department of Agriculture spokesperson Mike] Louisell."
Try again, comrade.
No, you try again, comrade. Those roads and that infrastructure have been paid for by car owners. If you think that tax rates could have been set as high as they have been without those services, then I have a bridge to sell you.

Re: I'd like to call this regulatory capture
Hmmm, should I believe a daily beast article or video and high school physics class. Decisions decisions.
You've been around long enough to know that it's best not to challenge my citations. Don't like the Daily Beast article? OK.

Re:its not the corporations...
read it an weep:
Of the homeless camp residents “They were offered services. We even offered them jobs with labor people for a few months,” – “all their offers were rejected, including money to help clean up their own mess.”

Re:its not the corporations...
Those of you who believe that homeless is a result of rising rents are drinking the liberal cool aid. I have 3 kids in the Seattle area ages 19-26, none with college degrees, all working full time and all living in homes/apartments. Albeit, they have roommates, but they are not homeless
Many, many programs exist to help the homeless BUT, let me repeat BUT – you have to follow the rules. No drugs, in/out by certain hours, actually WANT to work.. but unfortunately, the vast majority of homeless are drug addicts, mentally ill, unable to follow rules so in realty they prefer street life.
Here’s a few articles from your regional Seattle news orgs:
35 tons of garbage from 1 homeless camp
90 sheriff service calls in 2017

And what's missing from the summary
And what's missing from the summary? That, the site in question was used by the people who rioted in Washington, DC. (or this link for those that get upset because 'fox') That those 230 people were tied in some way to the disruptj20 site, according to the requested info which the verge happily leaves out. You can find it easily enough with a search.
But it seems like they want all the info, which isn't a surprise. After all, this is relating to felony rioting. And it wouldn't surprise me if it has something to do with the other idiots that wanted to use a chemical attack at several other events in the DC area.

Re:So...
Most of my friends are die-hard Republicans, but I don't know a single person who (admitted) voting for Trump. I suspect that's because this election wasn't really fought along typical Republican vs Democrat, leftie vs rightie lines.
And that's exactly what it is. You'll find people from both sides of the isle voted for Trump because of what Hillary stood for. The reality is there was more support for Trump because he wasn't establishment, she was. They feel that the current state of government doesn't represent the people. That's why he had the support. The media is at a loss, and still hasn't learned anything from it though.
A lot of people like myself, who are or were heavily invested in politics saw this coming. This has been building for ~20 odd years, and it's very close to reaching the full-on shoot politicians in the streets. The Tea Party stuff was a warning sign, just like AfD, FN, and so on are warning signs. The media refused to listen, the politicians refused to listen. In the end Trump is far less extreme then the next candidate would have been. Just like Le Pen is, just like Frauke Petry is.
I also think there are a lot of people who are in the "I would never vote for Trump" crowd, because they don't want to be associated with some of his more bizarre stances, who secretly voted for Trump when no one was looking.
It's more likely they don't want to be targeted or attacked. You can seem multiple cases of that all over the US. Unlike the people who claimed "Trump supporters" attacked them. Those people who made the claims are being charged with filing false police reports. Off the top of my head, I can think of fake rape, fake assaults, fake vandalism, fake flyers, fake deportation letters, fake claims of harassment and mugging.

Re:The odds
Samsung has sold millions of these things. Three of them have caught fire. That makes the odds of a device catching fire less than 1 in 1,000,000. Business Insider says that 17 cars catch fire every hour. Where are the cries for recalling cars?
I'm going to keep a copy of your post for safe keeping. This "what about y" device is constantly being invoked as justification for everything from mass surveillance to red rum so often in so many different contexts it usually makes me cringe/sigh Al Gore style whenever I encounter it.
Boldly inquiring about cries for recalling products that catch on fire takes it to a whole new level.

Never mind, upon further Googling it seems that they are shutting down the Yakima Research Facility. (Or as the locals called it, the ball bearing plant.)

In a 2002 interview with the Newhouse News Service, Bamford said the Yakima facility obtained about 2 million intercepts per hour at that time.

Alcohol is different I say!
Alcohol has been tied to skinny dipping Republican congressmen. That's a pretty strong argument for prohibition.

Re:Too many protective measures
Incorrect, I suspect that millions of people will die early deaths because of the Fukishima meltdowns, just like Chernobyl.
Northwest sees 35% infant mortality spike post-Fukushima
Study: Fukushima Radiation Has Already Killed 14,000 Americans"Just because you don't see someone drop dead in front of you from additional radiation exposure, doesn't mean it isn't happening. This accident has trimmed several months, maybe a year off of lifespan off of everybody in North America. The Japanese may loose several years of average lifespan. Most of the damage won't be in the form of cancer, it will show up in hundreds of different manifestations, organ damage, genetic damage, etc.
To me, that is far too high a price to pay for so-called cheap nuclear power.
