Here's mine
- FireFox, how else am I going to find and download the rest?
- AVG AV, so that the next 8 actually are what I want.
- Net Transport, to get the next 7 faster.
- WinRAR, some of the rest require extraction, and whatever one might say about WinRAR, I prefer it.
- WinAmp, so that I can listen
to RadioStorm
while I wait for the rest to download.
- Trillian Pro, so I can tell everyone I am reinstalling.
- NoteTab Pro, I paid for it for a reason after all.
- OpenOffice.org, so that I don't have to wait an hour for it to download when I need to use it later.
- Scorched Earth 3D, for a little fun.
- Synergy , check it out if you wanna know.

They need a streaming service or something...I've been buying stuff from the iTunes Music Store (iTMS) for the past week. For me, it's great. But what I think is horribly unfair is that I pick up a lot of stuff I want to buy by listening to streaming radio stations like radiostorm and then go buy stuff on iTMS. So here you have streaming stations PAYING the record labels to stream music, while those who listen to it use it to decide what they want to buy, driving sales. The streamers are getting screwed.
I'd like to see Apple run their own streaming services or contract out to people like radiostorm and integrate it better into itunes so if I am listening during work, I can click on a link during the song play, and add the song to my basket, and pay/download it when I get home.
And what a perfect marketing feedback to the effectiveness of streaming radio to drive record sales. You can, if done right, tell how well every song is doing by who buys it as a result of listening to the streaming stations based on the sales that they drive.
Then maybe this stupid idea of streaming stations having to PAY to get people exposed to new music will die a rightful death.

Call, Write, Do Something!
This is one of those things that lots of people are going to miss if it goes away. Since the building I work in seems to be made out of lead or something, I can't get any radio transmissions. Internet Radio has filled the gap quite nicely. It's even my preferred method (Radiostorm!).
Write/Fax/Call your congressman before we lose this great source of legal music! -
Streaming Internet radio!
When I need to get into the zone, I need a semi-dark room, my laptop,... and streaming Internet radio! That is a must. And depending on what my mood is at that time, I can change radio stations when I wish. I've got a whole list of stations for different moods.. from groove and indie rock, to smooth jazz, to alternative. I can't stand a repetitive MP3 playlist.. I always need "new music", and Internet radio fits that bill just fine. Of course, that assumes you're bandwidth-endowed.
:-)
And yes I agree with some of you that web browsers are the prime distraction! Ok gotta get back to work... :-)
