Re:Oh well...
What a strange world you live in, where the games industry agreed with Jack Thompson. As I recall the main reaction was to spoof him in a number of games and increase the violence levels with ever more realistic graphics.
Yeah that never happened of course, but maybe you spend part of your time in an alternate reality. The only reason he stopped being an issue, was because he was tromped all over by the media. And was eventually disbarred by lying before the courts.
As for Sarkeesian, did you know she isn't actually against violence in games?
You mean besides her pushing of this stuff? Having a bit of a problem telling the difference between her and Thompson yet? Or would you prefer the part where she's pushing ideologies to ban video games? Just like Thompson did. And at least Thompson had the testicular fortitude to defend his viewpoints against multiple people. Something she never does, and when questioned on it starts whining that it's misogyny.
FYI: Those video games had been in development for years before she started this stuff.
Game developers pushed back against anti-feminists because the recognised Tropes vs. Women for what it is - a series of well made arguments and suggestions for changes that are often easy to make and invariably improve games.
No, they didn't. In fact most developers didn't want anything to do with her. EA even went as far as to state that she had nothing to do with the development of their game(s). But those series are full of so many factual errors you could write an essay on that alone. Never mind that their sources are so poor, or don't exist at all -- or present a complete opposite of the viewpoint she's pushing. But keep in mind that she was also right there, whining at the UN and complaining that "harassment is people demanding proof" and the internet should be censored to protect her.

Re:What a coincidence...
That sounds entirely reasonable.
BRB.
It's reasonable for gawker, and threat'sand doxing are okay with feminists too. Along with getting people fired because reasons.

Re:Strong enough for a man, made for a woman
Actually, I think you don't understand Gamergate because it started with a jilted and angry ex-boyfriend's complaints about his game designer girlfriend's cheating ways. There was an accusation of sex traded for reviews, but there was never any evidence to support the accusation, not even superficially, since there was no such review.
Yep, absolutely no evidence at all.
In practice, that seems to be the same thing, in that most of the GameGaters that I've seen go ballistic over anyone saying anything even the slightest bit negative about their favourite games.
There are extremists in everything unfortunately. I personally don't give a shit how someone reviews a game, as long as it's factual and simply opinion. Trying to make an entire community conform to whiny, lying, bitches however is where I draw the line.
Lets not forget that Depression Quest was barely even a game.

Re:Unhelpful Whining
If you didn't see any attacks on gamers, you are willingly blinding yourself to the issue.

http://sjwar.blogspot.com/2014...It appears that this tumblr collects information about people being harassed for supporting gamergate.
http://gamergateharassment.tum...And here is a site that explains what happened from the gamergate perspective. Since your post above is so wildly accusatory, it might be good for you to read it as it goes into quite a bit of detail about the ethics issues being brought up, and how it was the gaming journalists themselves that were talking about it being a harassment campaign when they didn't want to defend themselves for the clear ethics violations being brought up.

Re:Alternate Title
It's obvious that Bay grafted Megan Fox's character into the story to be titillating to male audiences and 'empowering' to female ones: ie a feminist view of what men 'only' want and what women 'should' want (it backfired however, there's no pleasing feminists). In the opening scenes, it's clear she knows cars and understands tech while Spike/Sam can barely handle the car he just bought. Throughout the movie, he's relegated to clueless idiot status. Even when he's entrusted with important tasks, the implication is that he's incompetent without her. This contrasts with the character from the original cartoon series who, at various points, was entrusted with critical tasks and challenges, no privilege checking needed.
It is obvious Marvel grafted a female thor into the storyline for the new movie. There was no reason to retcon sex. There are plenty of female characters in the Marvel universe that stand on their own. These kinds of situations are why feminists are often accused of not wanting equality of any sort, but total cultural and legal dominance over men. In the movie, it's obvious Odin was made out to be the metaphor for the evils of 'patriarchy', not just a neutral male authority figure. The newer Thor comics make jabs at gamergate and ramble typical feminist mantras. In this context, it is very clear the new Thor movie was a case of grafted politics and not an honest attempt at building a new character or adding an unexpected plot twist to an old story.

As far as the other movies go, watch them. Watch the character interactions in the new star wars closely. She's right, Solo's an old, bumbling idiot, even with his own ship that he's flown for decades. She goes from drifter to a lightsaber pro within minutes after receiving luke's saber, learns to control her mind powers along the way without any guidance, and defeats the movie's nemesis, but of course not before Solo is senselessly killed off so she can take his place (she don't need no man to protect her, but a wookie is ok I guess). In contrast, force or not, Luke still had to train, both with the saber and mind-disciplines for many years. By the time she meets him at the end, there's little point in continuing the story because she's already 90% on the way to being a jedi. This plot clearly abused the story line for the sake of political correctness.

Re:Let me follow the logic
There have been efforts, notably the gamergate anti-harassment patrol, to try to police the hashtag and certain forums, to report people that actually publish details of a person's address/phone number.
Those running counter to this have never called out their own, except when they step out of line for a moment (such as Brianna Wu when she dared to have coffee with Brad Wardell to chat in a friendly manner over some of the issues involved in this big debacle).
Randi Lee Harper is one of the biggest serial harassers online, having even doxxed and had people send death threats to the CEO of a debt collection agency because they had the gall to try to collect the money she owed. https://archive.is/3oTek
She's made at least one fake review of a book published by a male feminist, claiming all sorts of hateful things of him - he offered to send her a free copy of the book to amend her review as appropriate, she refused outright. https://archive.is/aOXu9 http://www.reaxxion.com/9311/r...
She's been doing this for over 10 years. She thrives on the attention, and people are too stupid to look her up and see that when she "fights" harassment, she's really just covering up her own bullshit.
-
Re:Good, talk about professional victims as harass
Right, so Randi did it (if you can find those tweets). What about the rest? Just because one person is an arsehole doesn't mean everybody vaguely related to them is
Sure can find them here. and another instance here. Or her harassing Anne Rice, and leaving fake book reviews. Pretty good for a anti-harassment person, she does tell people to kill themselves and light themselves on fire often too. Of course there seems to be a pro-"no bad tactics, only targets" mentality among the majority of anti-GG people including making shit up. That's from Bob Chipman by the way, there's also people like Sam Biddle who's harassed and threatened to call a kids employer to get them fired, and said the phrase "bring back bullying." You can't forget the general crazy either.
And of course you can find a list of various people who've either doxed or harassed pro-GG people here. And you can see how someone falls into the cult mentality of wanting to be a "good feminist" here Just a list of anti-GG harassment and of course this beauty where Adem Sessler and Jim Sterling come out pro-doxing Well maybe it's nothing, or maybe there's a lot of people out there with serious mental problems who believe that lashing out is the only way to cope with their own problems.
Maybe way out of band of what you asked but I'm tired, so fuck it.

Re:Worst?
Ask non-SJW males on most college campuses what power SJW's have.
They can get men kicked out of school for rape when no raping happens - with no refunds or ability to argue their position due to SJW pressure. False rape accusations aren't that uncommon.
Ask anyone with any connection to the gaming industry, be it a developer or a gamer what SJW's can do. Rumors have it that top developers have mandated new games have female villains and heroes even if it doesn't make sense.
They've pretty much ruined social media unless you stick to very small specific circles.
They've messed up Slashdot too. We have to have at least one SJW article about why we should all feel guilty women don't want to be in STEM fields. (my wife has explained this to me BTW and it's not a very PC answer)
