You should have given her the number for the Rejection Hotline or the RickRollCall. Not only would you have made her happy (until she figured out what it was), you would have epic lulz to talk about on Slashdot!

Two calls from an unsolicited number is all I ever get. After the second call the number simply gets screened and the incoming call gets forwarde--guess where--back to itself. Sometimes I get giddy imagining the telemarketer reciting her pitch to the person in the next cubicle.

Of course, callers with the caller ID of "000-000-0000" or "10" simply get forwarded to the Rejection Hotline.

I'm on primus, but I imagine other voip providers have similar functionality, as would asterisk and its ilk.

Sorry, now they'll switch to their local version of the Rejection Hotline.

Perhaps we should amend the bill to fight the following sorts of fraud:

* Passing rejection hotline numbers as real phone numbers
* Willfully misrepresenting relationship status or sexual persuasion
* Transporting STDs across orifice lines
* Beeing sweet in a bar but an asshole in the morning

Hey, at least you get an obvious rejection and not the stupid rejection hotline.
