Re:needs rebranding
Oh, and for the record, lava and snow are IMHO a beautiful reaction.

Re:Where's the video?
Here you can find two webcam views from El Hierro:

Some webcams in Iceland that give a hint about how beautiful the landscapes are in that country. You can find there one webcam view on the famous and hardly pronounceable Eyjafjallajökull that recently disrupted the european air traffic:
http://live.mila.is/eyjafjallajokull-fra-thorolfsfelli/
Note that the Katla and the Hekla are far from being small ones.
Some more webcam views about the Katla & the Hekla:

In other news ...Wikileaks supposedly has access to loads of US classified information. Its primary spokesman may have to flee to Iceland.
Iceland votes "yes" on proposed news haven. In other news, yesterday US sent official greetings because of the national day June 17th, reminding Icelanders about good old times and promising friendship and support during the current financial crisis. (text Icelandic only, but there's a Hillary video)

Drilling into a Volcano
I wouldn't worry too much about the effect of a small hole on such a large system, last night a deep drill into the active volcano Krafla (last eruption was in 1984) froze up at 2104 meters when the drill got stuck in molten rock. If nothing happens when you drill into a magma chamber of an active volcano then I don't worry about what happens when you drill miles and miles away from a fault-line.
