Re:Yell Commands Across the Room
My bank had one of those hp printers in the window with an IR port on it... It wouldn't take too much to freak them out with some weird documents that looked like they were printed by an insider.
But, a soundbug on the window might now actually be dangerous. -
you bought the thing??I don't see how anyone over the age of 16 would actually want a Soundbug, believing that it would produce decent sound.
I mean, first, it costs about $20, which to me says "it's not *that* great, so we're giving it to you for cheap". And if the you were to go to the soundbug website, you'd see that it's so teen-pop-y and the tool/toy is being marketed as a "hey, if you buy this, you can impress your friends!" object.
If you have the courage, take a look at the video clip they provide... {...shudder...}
And to think I was considering getting one.. -

Flat panel speakersI have a set of Wharfedale flat panel speakers, which use similar technology I suppose. The sound quality is decidedly "thin" and the old magnet driven cones beat it hands down.
I would love to see a more technical analysis of the soundbug and I looked around.
The official site is here, and has a nice photo.
A german article is here
However, I did not find a nice frequency response graph based on some standard material like a pane of glass one metre square, or MY office desk
;-) for example.In all, it looks reasonably cool, and I can see applications everywhere. Now, when am I going to be able to get one in Morocco??
