Re:In a frame on his wall? Really?
Or the Rubik's cube art kicking around like Rubixel or the portraits the space invaders guy did.

Related odd grafiti ..
If you thought that was weird, check this guy out. He goes all around the world creating mosaic grafiti of various space invaders.

Re:The invader
Actually, Invader's site for the project sells its own stickers, those Think Geek stickers are a rip off (I think...). The guy also sells "Invasion Kits" which are bags of the appropriate number of ceramic tiles required to create one of the invaders, along with instructions (no glue though).
There are also some less interesting (but still cool, I guess) things like T-shirts for the project, sneakers for the project (!!), a 45RPM 7" record single containing a song for the project, etc. -

Re:space invaders
When he was in New York recently he had a lot of the maps at the show. He actually tagged my computer when I was there.
:o)
He also publishes art books. Looks like he's releasing a book version of the Paris Invasion in October.

space invaders
there are sort of similar tilings, predominantly in europe, although i believe the guy (invader) who is responsible for them is currently in NY... although these aren't "profound" statements, they are really well done mosaic tiles of little space invaders!
you can check it out here. for fellow londoners who are interested...i, personally, have seen two in london. one on brick lane outside vibe bar and one in the notting hill area on some bridge that the carnival goes over - dunno which one, i live in the seeouthhhhh. -

Re:Geez I love google....
I spent last year studying abroad in Grenoble, France, and became interested in these little guys when i noticed them starting to crop up around the city there. Apparently there's only one tile one in Grenoble, but there are many more that are spraypainted. I started noticing them in other cities, too, and for a while I really thought they were some sort of city beautification project. The tile ones, especially, are very well done.
Inferring from space-invaders.com, this phenomenon is pushed mostly by a couple of French kids. I think they either live in Montpellier (in the south of France) or in Paris, because that's where I saw the most tile invaders, and those two cities are the most elaborate part of their web site.
The invaders actually got me interested in graffiti-as-art in general. If you've never checked out some of the really neat graffiti, go over to graffiti.org to check out some of the better stuff. I also have some photos of Grenoble's large graffiti wall up at ambient.2y.net. Granted, a lot of graffiti is just people showing off or advertising their gang or whatever, but some of it is truly amazing.
