Stupid Useless Advertising Sites
They own millions of good domains that people cant use because they are being squatted on. ICANN should put their foot down and do something about it. Now there are no names left hardly to take since they are all claimed by these stupid sites that get visits by people mis-spelling a URL or a site they used to visit.
Examples:
A funny Nintendo related site I used to love: http://www.nintendoclassics.com/
The company that made Tuxracer: http://www.sunspirestudios.com/
Shit like this just pisses me off. -

Indeed - check out the new competitive team based mode, with voice commands and enemy taunts! -
Hmmm...
The commercial version of Tux Racer is scheduled for release in the Summer of 2001. Sunspire has already had some success marketing the game but is still pursuing a serious publisher.
Hmm, wonder when that was written. It's now Winter 2002. -

Tux Racer NOT Windows-only
Thu, Aug 2, 2001Despite what some (very misleading) news articles have recently reported, the retail version of Tux Racer will be released for both Linux and Windows (and most likely the Macintosh); the binaries for all versions will be on the same CD. Don't believe the hype!
These news articles are referring to an OEM (original equipment manufacturer) deal which is in the works, which (although the details have not been finalized) is for Windows only.
Hrm...

Too bad..
Darn, I just tried out Tux Racer 0.61 (from Mandrake's RPMs) last night and it was actually pretty fun for a beta of a game.
Now I wouldn't be so dissappointed in Sunspire Studios they were releasing for Linux. Loki's great but Linux still needs more game developers.
Well now I suppose it's up to Open Racer to show the good of OSS and better Tux Racer...
