And all of that means jack shit if Tesla provides independent repair shops with the information required on how to service the car, to become authorized warranty repair shops for Tesla products... Nobody needs the stealership model anymore, if Tesla doesn't want it thats entirely their choice.
These great numbers allow them to complain to our government corporate puppets that the DMCA is broken and needs "fixing", ie, make all search engines and service providers liable for infringement, thus requiring full keyword filtering, isoHunt style.
We have well over 150 3TB Seagate Barracuda's at work that are halfway into their second year of operation.
The first year has been pretty flawless, maybe 1 failure, but the second year, we've had about 15 already get peppered with bad sectors and its continuing to happen at least once per week or so on more drives.
This hands a lot of crediblity to Backblazes findings if you ask me. Again these are modern 3TB Barracuda's, (non-XT)
I was sad when they discontued the XT line, simply because we have about 30 of the XT 2TB models into their 3rd year and no failures yet.
Oh, right, they didn't discontinue the XT at all, rather turned it into the Constellation series and sold it for double the price!
Also, Sony and Microsoft won't even be ready with their new consoles for at least another year, its quite a long time to wait when their hardware is the limiting factor in todays games.... everything has to be watered down for the PS3/360... and that disease spreads to todays PC games... its consolitis at its finest.
Valve would actually be saving the PC gaming market, as all those games will typically be on PC Steam as well!
Todays typical console business model from the big 3 is growing old, and frankly I'm tired of getting gouged. Valve will bring a breath of fresh air!
Put a lot of those cheap Steam specials on a Valve console, and they will come, in droves... allow you to play games elsewhere at friends based on steam login, and uh, you get the idea....
Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft would have to change their pathetic gouging business model completely in order to compete with Steam...
I'm sure people would buy the Steam console just to get brand new games on release without having to leave their couch...
I can't be the only one that thought Shadows of the Empire on N64 was a good game, surely they can bring out more like this with todays graphics... I don't care much about strict canon as long as its fun.
You only need to go as far as the MAME, or the (S)NES libraries to realize copyright is broken.
Licensing issues or lame owners prevent at least 80% of these titles from ever seeing the legitimate light of day ever again.
Copyright has become a cultural lockup, nothing more.
Good point, I thought of this, but I'm growing tired of US political crap on a global scale... most of us in the world do NOT live in the US last I checked....
With all the recent Wi-Fi developments, why isn't encryption now standard? I should be able to setup an *open* access point with encryption these days so my users don't get their email passwords jacked. There is absolutely NO technical reason why this cannot be part of any modern specification.
I will never ever use an open access point for this very reason...
You're missing the point.
The Volt is a MUCH better car to drive than the Cruze, its not even in the same league or class!
It drives and responds like a Caddy with tons of acceleration and has most of the highend luxury features of one. Extremely quiet cabin too.
Put your Cruze at $35,000 if you want something even remotely equivilant in luxury factor.
Are you expecting to buy the Volt and it be barebones and bland like a Cruze? Seriously now.
Seeing that you can get Sandforce based OCZ 240GB SSD's for a mere $170 or less with taxes, they should be on the list of must-haves for that new PC build.
Affordability is no longer an issue.
Samsung just needs to stop making A5 cpu's in Texas and cut a ton of American jobs, see how quick will get the government's attention on this whole patent mess.
People are actually shoving Red Epic's on modded 700E's with stabilization gimbals. They use GPS flight stabilization and automated flightpath software.
The price of the camera itself can easily buy a few of these full helicopter setups. AP isn't expensive anymore.
This "Accelerometer" is mechanical. If the elevator completely lost power and the hoist motor brakes for some reason failed to engage (rare as they're supposed to fail closed), the emergency brakes on the car itself would trigger.
Most PVR's have USB ports, I use those to charge my PS3 controllers due to Sony's lack of function.

Theres way too much out of print stuff that you cannot find legally unless you're lucky enough to track it down used....
I would say at least HALF of the original NES library of games are like this as a quick example....
And for arcade game PCB's, then that number is off the charts....
Most of our past culture would be inaccessible if it weren't for the internet.

Unlocking of our excessively locked up culture perhaps?
Furthermore, what annoys me is they let it go on for 7 whole years while all the industry did was whine about them, before finally getting the FBI to take action.
They had more than enough US presense for a successful civil case, and of course disobeying a court order will be criminal contempt of court. Only then should the FBI get involved.
Suddenly being held liable for hundreds of millions in damages would make them rethink thier flawed DMCA policies.

Probably Google streetview cars. Google blanks out plates, obviously not without storing them numerically first.

Steam works great in Gentoo Linux, I would expect Gentoo to be the absolute worst to get it running on, but it works!
Adding onto that, you can bet your existing Steam library will have some sort of nice bearing on what games come with your Steam console...

The sound hardware also blew the Genesis/Megadrive out of the water. I cant imagine Super Metroid on Genesis for instance.... :)
You mean just like the TPPA is doing? Its already back, and its as bad/worse as ACTA. They simply shifted their tide to secret trade agreements again.

Amusingly, take a look at #2 on their list. isoHunt.com. The majority of the DMCA takedowns (at least 2/3rds) *ARE* for PORN.

Sorry but this crap is happening in the US as well. Apple is an American company, Samsung A5 CPU's are used in Apple devices, my comment applies.
Samsung just needs to stop making A5 cpu's in Texas and cut a ton of American jobs, see how quick will get the government's attention on this whole patent mess.
