Another review
We did a review of Vonage a while back on Techfocus - it was
/.'ed at the time, but I'm not finding the link now. Anyhow, here's the link to the review. It's been a bit since it was posted, but the fundamentals remain! -
Re:Interview text
It looks like the php portion of the site is up (of course, probably only until I state that it is) - here's the link:

Re:Wouldn't the DMCA apply?
The problem is that the RIAA used the Von Lohmann quote before the technical measures were put in place, so your argument is only good if they decide to grab another quote. Even then, some RIAA lawyer working from home or a separate office could easily view the site.
The bigger picture is the fallout.
boycott-riaa.com has covered Techfocus' efforts, as has several other web sites. There seems to be quite an underground movement supporting Techfocus. I am a moderator for the Techfocus forum on this subject. Check it out and help if you can. -
Block the RIAA/MPAA yourself
Download this handy list of network ranges that the MPAA/RIAA use.

Novell / fiaSCO purchase agreementPortions of the actual purchase agreement between Novell and SCO is available here.
Even thought the IBM is about contractual considerations this is good new for Linux, as it looks like SCO indeed do not own the IP.
For the ones that watches PBS and Chalie Rose, Note that he has David Boies as guest tonight plus Andy Groove by the way.
Hopefully Charlie will ask Boies about IP terrorism, at least I send him an email asking him to.

Re:How dare they!
Laws are written by industry groups as often as not, then they pay a congressman to introduce it. Bill from techfocus.org explained it all to me a while ago (I'm Canadian... not too much knowledge of US politics). The whole thing made me kind of sick. So much for "For the people, by the people." More like "For the corporation, by the corporation."
