Re:Highly Biased ArticleNo threat? You're kidding right?
You should read more.
I stand by what I said... And Bush has a helluva lot more guts than any liberal these days, even people that get the bums rush into a war they didn't volunteer or expect to get into. If you'd volunteered to get in, that's one thing. Getting swept into a war you weren't expecting isn't gonna earn you any merit badges.
Liberals today would rather turn a blind eye to what's going on in the world than do the right thing for the people they supposedly care about. The horrors in Iraq would have continued if it was up to them. The Democratic Presidents of the past would have been sickened by today's "liberals".

Re:Your sigYou've obviously never seen Eddie George in person.
The big girl of which you speak is strong enough to throw one of your tiny European cars at you, of you get him mad. He's also faster than you, so you can't run away, either.
See a photo or two and get an idea of what a freak of nature he is here.
From the page: "Today is work day, with Eddie sprinting for 45 minutes at the Titans practice facility under the watchful eye of trainer Geoff Kaplan. Then he moves on to the weight room with assistant strength coach Sammy Cribb, where he bench presses 405 pounds twice, military presses 225 pounds for six reps, incline presses 365 pounds for six reps..."
BTW, 405 pounds is about 184 kg, for you metric system nazis.

An example of what we'll see
Is the recent mistreatment of the Dixie Chicks. The head of Cumulus Media, which owns 41 radio stations, decided himself that none of the stations would play the Dixie Chicks any more.
See this link for more on this. What we see and hear is decided by corporate heads and lawyers.
Expect to hear (or to not hear in this case) more of this. -
Re:wow
Not a man but an odd situation just the same.

Re:This is about broadband first...
As with anything else, you are buying a service from someone -- they might have conditions on that service, and if you violate it, they have the right to refuse you service. [ie, the 'no shoes, no shirt, no service' thing at most fast food establishments...
I don't believe the food establishment example holds up here. The cable company where I live was established as a monopoly by the city. (another discussion) Being a monopoly carries obligations that businesses like restaurants simply don't have. One of these obligations, for cable internet providers, should be an unrerestricteded pipe. i.e. Like water. You should have the use of as many faucets as you may need and with any plumbing you may want to use.
Bandwidth usage metering is an option for them (and is probably coming) but, it is interesting that a similar business, telecom, does not meter usage. Why? Because, in the long run, it must be more profitable not metering and restricting usage. Also, how can a cable company meter internet service when they do not meter television?
What this country needs is an IURB (internet users rights bill.) Putting to rest a lot of the abuses beginning to arise and are exemplified by the Super-DMCA bills. -

bullshit
Men are, as a group, physically stronger and more often able to defend themselves.
Which women compensate for with the element of surprise and/or the use of weapons.
Your belief that men and women face the same threats, dangers, etc. just shows how little you know about women.
And your statements show how ignorant, sexist and bigoted you are towards men. If a man tried to kill his wife he'd get more than one day in jail. When a woman rips her boyfriends testicles off she gets three months in jail. And people like you will cheerfully rattle of statistics on how many women are abused while ignoring what happens to men.
A great many people have the (very) mistaken idea that stalking, domestic violence and murder is something that men do to women, like only whites can be racists to blacks or hispanic. Well guess what, a black man can be racist to a white man, and a women can rape, murder or assault a male just as easily as the other way around. The only difference is that when a women is the victim, society is in a rush to send the man to jail, but when the man is the victim he's the butt of jokes on the Tonight Show. -
Re:TNN gets them because they have cash.
TNN is attempting to broaden their audience (and fatten their wallets). It was created as "The Nashville Network," but changed its name to "The National Network", and started picking up more mainstream shows like Trek and Ren & Stimpy in an effort to broaden its appeal without completely obliterating its brand identity:
The changes come four months after Viacom Co., parent of MTV Networks, formalized its purchase of TNN's parent, CBS Inc., for roughly $50 billion.
Yesterday, Scannell made his first-ever trip to Nashville, meeting with employees for about an hour and 45 minutes. Hall began the meeting with an emotional farewell.
"There's people there I've been with for over 30 years," Hall said afterward. "It's like a big family. ... There should be a lot of pride in what they've done."
Nickelodeon veteran Diane Robina was named general manager and will run TNN's day-to-day operations from New York. Brian Hughes, senior vice president for programming, will remain in Nashville.
Since May, CMT, TNN's all-country-music sibling, has been run from New York by VH-1 executives. CMT will see no changes and will not pick up programming TNN discards, officials said yesterday.
TNN will unveil new, original programs next year, including movies and reality-based shows. By 2005, Scannell said, 50% of TNN content will be original.
TNN also will increase its ties to CBS, the only major broadcast network without a news or sports cable companion. In March, TNN may broadcast some NCAA tournament games, Robina said.
Some changes at TNN will be instant. A new logo will make its debut next week. And one of cable's highest rated programs -- the World Wrestling Federation's Raw Is War -- will switch to TNN, beginning Monday at 8 p.m. A show that will not be renewed is "Crashed", a sitcom one about the travails of bearded computer nerds who live in their parents' basements and pine over their imaginary girlfriends.
While many things will change, especially on weekdays, TNN will retain a few weekend local favorites, including the weekly live broadcast of the Grand Ole Opry and popular outdoor programs. Arena football games will return next year as well. -
Re:Can anyone thking of any drugsActually, blood-caffeine content is tested and limited in certain chess 'Federations' although the actual benefits seem to be anecdotal at best.
Competitors and tournament officials alike said they had never heard of a chess player taking drugs to become sharper -- although a good strong cup of coffee was not out of the question. Even then, the caffeine level in players' blood is restricted under Spanish federation rules.

Re:Fair use?
If Pride thinks his music will not show up on the internet, well he is crazy.
He knows it'll show up on the Internet. Actually, on his record company's web site. Look here:

If you own the CD, you can get the MP3's from them. Seems bizarre to me. -
Re:Illegal search?
As I mentioned in a previous reply, copyright.net used software it developed, not just napster.
-
Re:You miss the point.
And for the people who are saying that no one has rights in this matter, and that napster can ban anyone they like, yes I do consider copyright.net "using software it developed" (not just napster's search) to scan my drive, constitutes a violation of the 4th amendment.
