something to remind me ..
I recall at an anniversary ceremony Tibbets flew over an airfield and dropped a full size replica, now that must have got their attention. Is this more interesting than The web browser is a dead end

Re:My, that *is* disapointing
Said analysis leads to a simple required parity: any one citizen has the right to be *at* *least* as well armed as any one member of the government.
That's entirely ludicrous. Do you really suggest that an individual citizen should be allowed to possess the class of weapons used, for example, by Paul Tibbets?
In 1776 there was no such thing as a Weapon of Mass Destruction. -
Re:The quote is.....
That's not the one I'm thinking of, unfortunately (though it is another one I like). I'm quite certain the quote I have in mind does specifically reference the number of people 10 men can kill. It was bandied about plenty immediately after 9/11.
That's chickenshit compared to the number of people killed by the crew of Enola Gay ... -
Bogus
Col. (now Brig. Gen, retd.) Paul Tibbets is still alive. He's doing fine; he was flying until at least 1998. He has a web site., from which you can order a detailed model of the Hiroshima bomb personally signed by Gen Tibbets.

Re:A bit of trivia
Oh by the way, here's some support for that fact if you want it; from a site created and maintained by the enola gay's then-pilot Paul W. Tibbits.
From the site:

(OT) Re:But there may be downsides...That is the reason why much of the world is fearful of NK with nukes
You do realise that there is only one nation which has actually used nuclear weapons in war - and its not any of the countries in the so-called 'axis of evil'.
