Rita A. Crundwell (born January 10, 1953) was the appointed comptroller and treasurer of Dixon, Illinois, from 1983 to 2012, and the admitted operator of what is believed to be the largest municipal fraud in American history. She was fired in April 2012 after it was revealed that she had embezzled $53.7 million from the city over 22 years to support her championship American Quarter Horse breeding operation. [1][2][3][4] She pled guilty to her crimes and was sentenced to nearly 20 years in prison.[1]

Crundwell's Quarter Horse operation, RC Quarter Horses, was one of the best-known Quarter Horse breeders in the country; her horses won 52 world championships and she was named the leading owner by the American Quarter Horse Association for eight consecutive years prior to her arrest.

Where are they actually selling the horses? Those should be worth way more than the statues.

The US Marshals claim part of theirs goes to victims:

Parts of the US government hold that Bitcoin is property, namely the IRS. However, the government certainly counts it as money with regard to money laundering - just ask Charlie Shrem. Agreed that the undercover purchases aren't really official business, however, this is definitely official business: http://www.usmarshals.gov/asse... I don't imagine that the US Marshals are going to sell Bitcoin one day and then on another day have a different branch of the US government say that Bitcoin isn't a valid means of transferring value, legal tender be damned.

• Level 0: Negligent (Indifference) - Failure to allow successful development process to succeed. All problems are perceived to be technical problems. Managerial and quality assurance activities are deemed to be overhead and superfluous to the task of the software development process.

There are standard procedures for this sort of thing. If the Government seizes regular financial assets such as stocks or bonds, the U.S. Marshalls Service sends them to a licensed broker to be sold. Less liquid assets are sold off at auctions. Here's the current list of auctions. There's a list of used stuff available, from fur coats to USB cables. And lots of bling - gold chains, Rolex watches, gold and silver bars, men's diamond bracelets... Want a cross necklace with 171 diamonds? They've got that. (Some of this stuff just screams "I am a drug dealer.")

Since when can a citizen or private institution perform a raid?

Since they got a court order. You're arguing in circles over the apparent assumption that they couldn't have had a court order because then they would have been "escorted by law enforcement". Were you not aware that the US Marshals IS a law enforcement agency and not a tap dance squad?

Yeah, the Marshals are used for State judicial affairs in some locales, like New York City. Other area's use Sheriffs or other agencies to collect. It is roughly the equivalent to this http://www.usmarshals.gov/process/execution-writ.h tm but on a State instead of Federal level.

A quick visit to http://www.usmarshals.gov/ shows *no* method or process by which a Federal agency can collect funds on behalf of a State judicial matter. Maybe you are thinking of asset forfeiture?

If a judge orders someone to do something, and they refuse, isn't it then the justice department's responsibility to enforce that judge's order?

Actually, that's done by U.S. Marshals, the enforcement arm of the judicial branch, with about 3,000 deputy U.S. Marshals.

There is quite the emphasis between "United States of America" and "United States". "United States" originates to admiralty proceedings, then lays down its sovereignty by drafting a civilian that it may search and seize that person's property. "United States" can't seize a man's property, but a person's property; big difference in venue. All seizures on land, from Admiralty, must go through a district court; and worse, the Writ of Garnishment is served by courts-Marshal proceedings in Admirality. Does it feel like Marshal law yet? Did you know that words can sink the Country (America) under sea-water and let the Admiralty (United States, not United States of America) sends its citizenships unto the sunk territory and use salvage-rights to seize sunk property?

(By the way, any "code" is evidence of a corporation; it's not plain-english, can't touch the constitution because it never was a party to the people that created the constitution, and code is encryption that is yet to be interpreted. "United States" isn't even part of the federacy, it is not federal but a *Federal* corporation. Remember, Congress was granted federal powers by the people, and thinks those powers are transferable and assignable. "United States", as instrumentalized by Congress, is no more than a civilian offering goods and services. It moves through the district courts in Washington, District of Columbia, its postal embasy agent U.S.P.S. and qualified process servers.
