    Those links are JS-generated "Sponsored Links" from something called IntelliTXT.
    That's why they're unrelated to TFA.

    Apologies for going off on a tangent, but precisely what the fuck is with all those links on the linked article? Pop-up windows were bad: pop-up divs and layers are worse. Now we have companies like IntelliTXT vomiting multiple tiny pop-up divs in pages, waiting to dazzle you with scores of sponsored links every time you accidentally mouse over one of their keywords.

    Blech.

    I use a t42p, which from the specks looks like it is a better machine than what they reviewed. I'm running 1600x1200 with 2G of RAM, and SuSE picked up all the hardware. Granted, when the t43p comes out, my current daily driver will be the 'old and busted'. I abuse the hell out of my machines, and the only series that has not come down with chronic cement poisoning has been the thinkpad.

    Do yourself a favor and add http://itxt.vibrantmedia.com/ to the adblock list, before looking at the site. God, I hate that intelletext crap.

    The double-underlined green links are provided by IntelliTXT, a sponsored-link service that runs a JavaScript function to replace selected words (such as "technology" or the "San" in "San Francisco") with sponsored links.

    That's just some cheap-ass javascript trick from the wonderful people at Vibrant Media ... nothing a good proxy can't strip out before it hits your browser.

    Personally I think this type of marketing is just tacky as hell and cheapens the brand of the websites that use it.
