Re:hard money == no inflation == no problem
The following is taken from here: http://www.wealth4freedom.com/truth/2/fedaudit.htm
However, the GAO does NOT have complete access to all aspects of the Federal Reserve System. The Federal Banking Agency Audit Act of 1978 stipulates the following areas are to be excluded from GAO inspections:
(1) transactions for or with a foreign central bank, government of a foreign country, or nonprivate international financing organization;
(2) deliberations, decisions, or actions on monetary policy matters, including discount window operations, reserves of member banks, securities credit, interest on deposits, open market operations;
(3) transactions made under the direction of the Federal Open Market Committee; or
(4) a part of a discussion or communication among or between members of the Board of Governors and officers and employees of the Federal Reserve System related to items.
In 1993 Wayne D. Angell, then a member of the Board of Governors, submitted testimony before a House subcommittee on the reasons for the restrictions on GAO access. He commented:
"By excluding these areas, the Act attempts to balance the need for public accountability of the Federal Reserve through GAO audits against the need to insulate the central bank's monetary policy functions from short-term political pressures and to ensure that foreign central banks and governmental entities can transact business in the U.S. financial markets through the Federal Reserve on a confidential basis (Reference 2)."
Do you remember some of the events prior to the US invasion of Iraq? Remember how Iraq resisted UN weapons inspectors? How they wouldn't let them inspect everything? How that was used as part of the justification for the invasion? Here we have this "essentially government" organization that is actually exempt from many of the laws required for government organizations because it's NOT a government organization and at the same time has all these special exemptions from government audits well beyond the GAO and other oversight. That last quote says more about their intention to conduct secret government activities than anything else. We the people would like to see more government transparency and this does more to obfuscate government activity than anything else. And by having this areas of "you just have to trust us" I'd say there's more than enough wiggle room there to make just about any audit of "allowed areas" pretty meaningless.
You did get me on the audit thing to a degree I didn't actually know there was "some" audit... just never a complete and meaningful one.
But you seem to be a real supporter of the federal reserve bank corporation. Asside from the false notion of "keeping money out of the hands of the spenders" why would it be a good idea to have a federal reserve bank corporation that keeps its inner workings a secret from the U.S. people? And the reason I say false notion is that #1 the member banks, both foreign and domestic are regular contributors to political parties and candidates. Furthermore, the federal reserve bank corporation has actually done more to enable this spend-crazy government. We wouldn't have a deficit at all if we didn't have a huge revolving debt account with the federal reserve banking corporation. The money "owed" by the government to the federal reserve bank system is the DEFINITION of government debt.
True. The congress and the president has ways to stop the federal reserve bank corporation if it "misbehaves." The last time I noticed any significant resistance to its will was JFK who was killed, by coincidence, shortly thereafter.
Control and domination of what, exactly? Our precious bodily fluids?
Uhm. Pick up a history book. People have been trying to dominate the planet for thousands of years in thousands of ways. Microsoft is our favorite enemy for global domination. But come on. The Roman empire? The Ottoman empire? N -
the "law" versus my physical existence
it is also my understanding that
.. with regard to the rights granted to free men under the "magna carta" .. there is a clause that forbid future governing bodies from passing laws that take away the originally granted rights ..
also it is my understanding that by signing any document with the included statement:
"without prejudice and under duress"
signifies that "i" am signing this document stating that .. "i" do not acknowledge that the signature has any significance .. (that a signature has no real .. only abstract value) .. and that "i" am signing this because someone is requiring that "i" do so ..
which is what the whole issue .. that some people are trying to raise with respect to what it means to be an actual physical existence apart from any conceptual or legal meaning and definition .. is really all about .. and how what some people refer to as a "natural person" is defined under the "law" .. which is actually another fictitious entity under the law .. apart for my actual physical sovereign existence as a living entity .. to which "i" have never granted anyone authority over .. nor have "i" ever agreed to live by anyone else's rules .. laws or conscience .. save my own ..
the whole modern system is nothing but a sophisticated scam .. indoctrinated by public education .. that allows those of wealth and power to exert a claim to having authority over my being .. in the "name" of a civilized society controlled by "the rule of law" and the threat of punishment .. and by simple democracies .. were by 51 percent can claim a right to exert authority over 49 percent of a people .. in fact nothing but limited dictatorships ..
there by providing the means for a just and civilized society .. and a means of protecting their wealth and power .. and keeping us safe of course .. read .. them safe from the rest of the us .. the 95 or so percent of us without any significant wealth or real power over our own lives ..
while really not providing the vast majority any real security at all .. but promising to seek out and punish anyone causing us harm after the fact .. along with no real opportunity for significant wealth .. unless you happen to win the lotory that is and even that is not the level of wealth the ruling class enjoy ..

Re:Aww, poor tax evaders!
Since you are a lawyer, can you please show why this http://www.wealth4freedom.com/law/IRS-EXPOSED.htm is incorrect? I normally do not believe stuff like this, but it is reinforced by the simple fact that every constitutional Amendment specifically authorizes congress to enforce that amendment, but the 16th amendment does not specifically authorize congress to enforce it. eg... section 2 here Amendment 15 - Race no bar to vote 1. The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude. 2. The Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation. But no section 2 here... Amendment 16 - Income taxes authorized The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration. So congress was given the authorization to collect taxes, but no authorization to enforce such collections. As such, it would seem that some legal trickery would be needed to transfer these levied taxes from the people in their "sovereign state" to the federal government which has no authority to involve itself in matters directly affecting the peoples of the individual states. Of course it is easier to dismiss anyone as a kook when they questions the legitimacy of income taxes.

Public Education & the Rule Of Law
i was born a free and sovereign being
..
i never granted anyone authority over my life and being ..
i don't require anyone granting me rights and privileges ..
and i never agreed to play by anyone's rules ..
but the vast majority of people ..
who have gone through the state controlled education system (mass brain washing) and grown up being influenced by a corporate controlled media (propaganda machine) ..
are not likely to know or remember this fact..
the vast majority of beings are/have accepted a "Social" world based on competition and control VS cooperation and empowerment ..
the rule of law and political party based democracy (limited dictatorships) .. so often espoused these days .. is a very convenient system for controlling natural beings .. by those in a privileged position of power.. haven't you noticed how the vast majority of politicians are either lawyers .. doctors .. or accountants ..
oh! .. forgive me .. their education makes them qualified and gives them the "right" to rule over my life ..

Can you say "invented"?From another article on the same subject:
Some funding for the experiment came from the US Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA)
Yeah. I'm betting that "some" of the tech used came from the same source as well. I mean, if it's been proven [tt] that transistors couldn't have been invented the all of a sudden way they were in 1947 (or even using today's technology), then how are they expecting us to believe that this new tech isn't reverse-engineered UFO tech? We're currently still miles away from acheiving anything in quantum computing, and now we're suddenly expected to believe that HP has this kind of working tech? Give me a break.

Re:Same old America.
thank you very much for saying these things, When the SOVERIEGN PEOPLE start to educate themselves and stop being citizens of the FEDERAL UNITED STATES (US Inc.) and return to the republic of the continental United States of America maybe we can put an end to this tyranny and rape of the PEOPLE. As useful as a contrivance that a "state" may be it IS NOT anticedent to the SOVERIEGN nor is the FEDERAL GOVERMENT anticedent to the states. This perversion has gone on for far too long. Our FOUNDING FATHERS did NOT put in place a goverment that would/could push them around, that is the reason men fought and died in the Revolutionary War. Here lies the dead REPUBLIC and here is the start of the current DEMOCRACY In 1861, during the Civil War, Congress adjourned sine die. That term means forever, never to return. The Republic was under Martial Law and President Lincoln appointed representatives for the southern states and forced the legislature to again sit. Martial Law is still the law of the land, the "courts" which merged LAW and EQUITY in 1938, are operating under Admiralty Jurisdiction (Statutory Jurisdiction) though they have been instructed to call it anything but that. Remember the the rules for their game are "everything skates untill you bust it" As ungrounded lightning said "You're fighting the good fight". http://www.wealth4freedom.com/ pass this link to everyone yoyu know or care about

Re:Consequences?
"He who has the gold, makes the rules" well,if we make the rules,I guess we can break them too.Comparitive to one being in charge calling the shots with the option to change ones mind to suit the situation. Sounds a lot like business, because it is.Separate business from literary mores or you'll be left with sentimental ruin. Perhaps if youknew more about America you would be qualified to make statements that at least "sound" like you know what youre talking about.http://www.wealth4freedom.com/truth/restore
. htm should be a good starting point for Non-u.s. people to get a good idea without popular media interference of what the united states is about and not a word about Bush in it.

Re: Stories on Echelon wrt/US commercial espionage
I would like to hear more about this. Is there an English version of that article anywhere?
There are several; the best from a journalistic point of view is probably the one on Heise (English), a German technology news forum from the publishers of Germany's best computer and IT magazines (c't and iX, respectively).
Others are here, here, here and here . The journalistic quality varies. You might have to search for "Kenetech". -
Re:Relevant quote
Anyone want to guess one of the CIA's main sources of income? This site has ongoing related coverage, a documentary on the subject, and of course Google will tell you more, since the one attempt to cover this in the mainstream media resulted in the journalist being slandered and the paper denouncing its own article (more on that).

Sun Tzu
Sun Tzu said that the best way to win is to disrupt your opponent's strategy.
If you buy the theory that current American military strategy is constant and sustained long-distance bombing (eg: hyperwar), then it stands to reason that the only way to defeat this is to get rid of the devices that help guide this tactic.
This needs to be done in orbit. There's probably going to be a cold-war style conflict up there, unless the American military can fuel this potential conflict into mass paranoia and use that to justify a pre-emptive strike on the Chinese. That'll be tricky with all of the Western nations out there trying to play nice with China trade-wise. -
The Election: A sign of the way things are.
The media nightmare that the election of the presidency has become is just insane. I read somewhere something that hit the nail on the head: The reason the election was so close was becuase we, the American Public, had been given two candidates who were nowhere near adequate to truly lead this country. Whomever comes out of this mess, the the current story is that Bush has it, will not be truly fit to do the job as it should be done.
That is why the election was so close. Not only in Florida, but all over this country, people saw the candidates being presented to them and did not know what to do. What does one do with two mediocre choices,
when there is no other worthy option? Most chose to find things they believed to be the better of two evils, the candidate with the least amount of undesirable characteristics. Others, out of desparation from being faced with such inadequacy, did the only thing that would seem right and choose the impossible, and nearly as mediocre, third or fourth candidate. Whatever the choice, we all will end up with one who in all truthfulness, shouldn't be in the
Oval Office.
I believe the source of this difficulty is not the lack of good candidates, but something else. The early race for the election saw some good candidates, and some good potential. But they all faded away, dropped out, and disappeared. It begs the question, why?! Perhaps it has something to do with the wide held belief that we live in a Democracy; that it is the majority who rules, and the government that shall rule us. This is a complete fallacy. This country, as you would hear in any Elementary or High School History class, is Republic. It was designed to be run, for the people, by the people, with a small government serving them, not the other way around. That is why goverment-business and property is always called public, becuase it belongs to the people. We are living in an age where the original goals of this country have been lost. The people no longer hold any control in this country; it is the government, the political machine, the media, and the corporations are the ones who control this country. (More info on why we live in a Republic, here.)
Then we have the media. They were so swayed by those in charge of the parties, that we had no choice but see the people that they chose us to see. The politicians don't campaign to the people anymore, they only campaign to the media. I'm sorry, but the media isn't the one in the voting both, it is the people. Those politicians who don't pay up the dues or the news anchors choose not to pay attention to get no coverage. Then, the best eople, those who by all rights would be the best leaders for our country, choose not to even attempt to run, in fear of what the media machine would do to their lives. It seems there is something critically wrong here
So now what? Well, for now, I think all we can do is put up with the ludicracy in front of us. But meanwhile, we need to begin to take back what was ours. This country was designed for the people, and only the people are the ones who will be able to take it back. If we do nothing, and expect the next guy to do it, well then, we deserve to be sucked into the media corporate madness that has evolved around us.
