Interesting Point About Phantom...
The web site they referenced: http://www.whereisphantom.com Seems to be suffering the
/. effect... (It still pings)...
Can it be that thousands of /. readers linking to that site brought it down? -
No, Seriously. Mod Parent Up.
I've really got to give Torgo proper credit: WiP?? has been covering Infinium Labs' escapades quite thoroughly, showing every piece of information he could get his hands on. If you want to be up-to-date on what is pretty obviously a scam that just won't quit, check them out.

Whereisphantom.com
Not to toot my own horn, but Whereisphantom.com has posted detailed information about this last month. If you want the latest news about Infinium Labs, you need to start visiting WIP regularly. Already today we have breaking news of another company suing them in small claims court and their CFO threatning harm to the owner over a small billing issue.
Just because Gamespot finally gets around to posting information doesn't mean that it's news. It's rather old news to be sure. -
There's so much more under the surface
Muck-raker? I suppose it's true since there's so much muck to go through. Ever since Morley started Where Is Phantom?? and I came on board as co-admin, we've been slogging through the mess that is Infinium Labs. The author in State has an obvious man-crush on Bachus and it shows the marketing PR wizardry that Infinium posesses to cover up their darkness.
Since we've hit our stride in April, we've uncovered so much information on Infinium management that would make any consumer blanche. Just visit our site to see a history of lies, possible perjury, court documents, a web of assumed internet identities, federal convictions, firings, lawsuits, hacking and phreaking, possible drug dealing... it goes on and on. There's no telling how far the rabbit hole goes.
Once you use public documentation to see what these folks have done, are doing and are going to do, how can anyone support them?

For the other side of the story
There's always more to the story, and especially in this case. Lawsuits, criminal backgrounds, past failed ventures... it goes on and on. Whereisphantom.com and HardOCP have been leading the investigations into Infinium Labs. If you want to get more than press release information, then you should check out these sites.

Re:i wonderOnly the petition was filed. No depositions or supporting documents were entered as evidence. If the settlement goes through and Terry Nagy signs a NDA then he will be little help to the [H]ardocp case. No one really knows what information he has or what help he can be other than possibly supporting the initials claims against Tim Roberts.
That being said, I do know that the [H] lawyers have copies of the original petition and only erodes Infinium's current claims in court.
While I'm at it, there is the small beginnings of an organized protest against IL at E3. Where is Phantom?? is encouraging people to wear this T-Shirt at the convention as a way of supporting free speech. You have to see the back to really understand.

More linksI'm currently hosting the docket documents as they come in. I've seen several other people point to them so here's a quick update. (Shacknews must have gotten their info from my posts at Hardforum which where in turn picked up by Gamespot.) This is information that Gamespot hasn't been reported yet or Shacknews.
A latest check of the docket shows that the Infinium Labs lawyers forgot to file a Certificate of Interested Persons with the court. It's just a list of people who a financial stake in the outcome of the case. When it is filed on Infinium's part, it could provide a look at the backers of Infinium and who else is financially involved with the company.
In other news, the court ordered a mediation meeting as part of the process to get the two sides to settle. This has to happen by April 23rd. It's intended to be a face-to-face meeting with all parties, but I expect Infinium to go pro se and do a telephone conference. If a settlement can't be reached, then both sides will file a report to the court explaining why.
Until the Certificate of Interested Persons is filed, the case won't progress much until the middle of next month. I've got the docs, but haven't uploaded them my site yet being as they are from the court and none of the parties. If there's a lot of interest, I'll post 'em.
Infinium Labs has retained the following legal council in Texas. This is public information from the court docket.
