Vote:Best Desktop Theme

Theming was where I got started. Of course back then you didn't have nearly the flexibility that todays modern window managers allow. You had to edit dotfiles, or even hack the code itself to make it look 'just right'. But these days themes like BlueSteel, Blueheart, AbsoluteE, BrushedMetal and Cyrus each help to make your desktop a cause of significant drool from our coworkers. Which one is the best?.

And they're all E themes too, huh? Seeing as how I don't see any themes from another wm, I'll abstain..

I am dissapointed that minEguE is not on this list. Easily the nicest combination of pretty e things and simplicity. FWIW, a lot of these themes (I think all of the nominees) have been converted to gtk themes and sawmill themes as well.

Some of us use the Mac OS. Our beloved Mac OS X wasn't eligible for this category, but that's all right - at work I run RedHat and use Enlightenment. But I am not sufficiently clued about these themes to cast a vote.

Linux folks: Help us out! Can someone point me to screenshots of BlueHeart and the rest? Educate us Mac and Windows folk.

I wish I was up for a vote with my Etheme. I used to be a "big boy" back in the e15 days. So what if my theme is a MacOS knock off? I put a lot of work into it, I hacked a bunch of stuff to get it working (much kludge) like getting the Macbar to work, adding a taskmenu button. I even wrote some C patches to E to fix some stuff. Unlike the KDE/GNOME/SLL etc folk, I guess the only way to get recognition for themes is to be original.

I can't spell or type, but that doesn't mean I'm unusually stupid.

hmm, best Theme, all choices are E themes ;) hell, I'll abstain, I'm using SuSE 6.2 and am still trying to figure out how they got those icons in enlightenment, cool! Havent seen the other themes yet. Did I mention how cool Enlightenment is? or how cool Enlightenment is? Enlightenment is cool. pass it on.

Hey guys.. Just thought some people would appreciate a quick rundown of the nominees with some screenshots for good measure. BTW, these are all E themes for obvious reasons.
