Little Linux Systems For Whatever Ails Ya

An Anonymous Coward writes: "Looking for small pre-built systems for custom Linux-based projects or products? Look no further. LinuxDevices.com has assembled a handy reference list of small systems that can serve as ready-made platforms for prototyping applications, or as the basis of application-specific Linux-based systems and devices. The style, performance, and costs of these systems vary greatly."

Yeah, it's a shame that Linux sucks so hard on the desktop, huh? I'm happily running Win2k on my dual PIII-550's, and it's a million times more stable and a lot faster

*chuckle* Just listen to yourself, kid; you sound like a moron. I also run w2k on one machine, as I need to use certain apps that don't exist for Linux, but for everything else, it's Gnome/Ximian for me, under Linux. I think it's a bit childish to brag about hardware too (and if I only had a dual 550 I sure as hell wouldn't advertise the fact) but rest assured, I've run Linux on all sorts of hardware, from very low-end to real screamers and it always performs.

FYI, I have a box here at home running RH6.2 that's now been running for close to a year, 24hrs per day. If w2k is more stable than that, I'd be very surprised. Now go back to playing with your toy, kid...

Okay, we people with IQs above 140 may not find Linux difficult, but for any average Joe Bloggs, Linux is _HARD_ (underscore). I think many of us techie types lose sight of just how damn hard simple things on a computer are for *normal* people (IQ under 110).
