    While we are talking about wierd things happening in the background of important political messages...watch the presidents important address on Sunday about the US launching attacks on Afganistan here on CNN. I found it incredibly hard to pay attention to his speech with all those kites doing loop-de-loops outside the window.
    I wonder if those guys flying the kites were aware that their tricks were being broadcasted (and rebroadcasted) to the everyone in the country. Man, talk about pressure to perform.

    I remember many years ago seeing on Usenet a series of three newspaper reports.

    The first was a 'siege in progress' report - Big Bird had flipped and gone into an apartment building and fired shots, and police had the building surrounded.

    The second was immediately post-siege - Big Bird had killed Ernie and wounded several, and been shot dead by police storming the building.

    The third was several days later, the bulk of it being Bert's eulogy at Ernie's funeral.

    Does anyone have a copy of these? I'd love to read them again.

    Thanks, and hey, it's OK because I'm becoming increasingly convinced that actually, the Slashdot moderation scoring system deserves a "+1 Funny" because it is a total fucking joke.
