What's this ? I never heard of this kind of myth before. Faultless programmers... You must be kidding me !

That's not how i see it. The success or failure of programming projects (and therefore the groups involved) depends mostly on doing the right thing !
Most problems I have encountered in my programming career have hardly ever been technical.
It is a good thing to improve your technical skills, I admit. But if you are doing the wrong thing it doesn't really matter how good you are at it !

Perl can be much improved with greater library reuse. For example, I've been experimenting with this excellent library called "Python" that has made my programming much more productive. Stop reinventing the wheel!
