Amen. Jabber is so easy first off. You don't need to use the funky proprietary AIM connection stuff, you can have secure SSL connections, you run the server, and finally you can connect to AIM over jabber leaving the hard work to others, but still getting done what you need done. Jabber is most definately what you are looking for, I don't see how you could go any other way. The people in jdev are very willing to help, although jabber is so easy you shouldn't need any;)
Wow I was so excited about mine... to bad I have'nt had a chance to try it out. You know why? Because not a single one of my SEVEN monitors work with it. Old ones, new ones, whatever dont worry... Head over here and you will see that almost all the Sony monitors work, and the other brands are hit and miss. Talk about lame. Only one good thing has come out of my purchase of the kit so far, and that is that I can play Tony Hawk 3 online, and I have a keyboard to chat with... and until I go out and have to buy a monitor, this is all I can do with my kit. Talk about a big disappointment. Good job Sony, keep up with your memory card shortages, empty promises (cough, cough PlayStation 3), and nice open development support, and you sure as hell will loose my business.
I have said this many times over. So here we go. FF11 is in development for the PS2 not the PS3, as is EverQuest. The PS3 is not in development either. In fact I posted a previous comment about it:
Well I was excited about all the Cell development and this PlayStation 2 stuff, but Ken Kutargai (the guy behind playstation and SCEI president) recently made some very grim statements at the South Korean PlayStation 2 launch. On the topic of PS3 Kutaragi-san said "Nothing has been started yet." He made some very grim statements about online gaming too saying; "If broadband connections capable of delivering 10Mb/s are affixed to game consoles, the industry as we know it will be over. By that time, perhaps 2005 or later, games would be available for download rather than sold in stores." This news [gamefu.org] came right after many analyst's came out saying how skeptical they were about Sony's online plans. This comes right after the Nintendo-Square and Nintendo-Capcom deals, which by the way Kutaragi mad, summoning top Square officials to the SCE headquarters to explain the deal, as he was out of town when the deal was made (the Square one) and had no prior knowledge about it. The memory card shortage doesnt help much either.
There are all these links to this Sony stuff here. I mean comeon, get the facts straight.
Disney has also teamed up with another gaming company (T&E Soft). But this one isnt turing out as good as the Square relationship. The SEC is investing the company who got involved in this big mess. Check it out here.

I mean I would really want his job. All you/. people (as in the head folks) get to sit around and work on your website and code whatever you want. Sounds good to me.
Hmmm, well I tend to disagree with you. I sure bet Hideo Kojima is one of the most interesting people you could ever meet. The man is a genius, but since I can tell you havent played any of his games, so you wouldnt know. For this guy to be so proficent and elite, I doubt he whines about petty shit. Would you call an artist, a person with 'no concept of how to enjoy life?'. Probably not, the man loves what he does, and he gets to do it every day for lots of money, and not for the feeling that he beat the system. Code really owns j00, as does Hideo Kojima, and without this 'boring' code, ungreatful people like your self would not be able to come up with these exciting games.
How that is true, in this time of crisis, swift changes and laws are neccisary.

That seems like a pretty straightfoward, good law. It doesnt take a genius or a commitee to figure out terrorism is bad.
That bill should have been there already, I think it was, in some form. I mean that is a no brainer, and like Bush said, 'if you arent with us, your with the terrorist' meaning Russ Feingold is a terrorist, or at least not a very patriotic citizen.
I know he also has a weblog. I can't remember the URL, but maybe someone else could help me out here.
If the power goes out, you loose the electical current in the glass which keeps it clear. If the power goes out, you have a major problem.

Well you got the details on the game now, check out the soundtrack. It seems pretty killer.

I'd love to see a picture.
Better Progamming In Perl, maybe he meant Programming.
