Be Liquidation Sale
Anonymous Squonk writes: "Be's homepage has a message stating some of the details of their impending dissolution. One little item of note mentioned was 'Public Liquidation Auction January 16 (details to follow)' Who knows what kind of geek goodies might be available at rock bottom prices? Perhaps this could be our last chance to get our hands on a BeBox!" How about some of those nice LED CPU meters?

Be quick!
Yeah, suits them right those greedy bastards! They dug their own grave with that comment. I feel no remorse for them.
the CowboyNeal option is overplayed... like Linkin Park
I bet you touch you nether bits when you type these silly msgs, now don't you! Har Har!
I was touching mine when I read it.
Yet another crippling bombshell hit the beleaguered BeOS community when recently be.com confirmed that BeOS now accounts for less than a millionth of all desktop operating systems. Coming on the heels of BeOS being sold to Palm, this figure confirms what we've known all along: BeOS is not only dying, it is completely dead. BeOS is collapsing in complete disarray, as is further exemplified by its complete lack of support for the very hardware which is required to run it. BeOS was depending upon all the latest graphics hardware, yet there has been no evidence of AGP support even entering development. With the imminent end of PC support, users are left wondering how a handheld machine powered by an m68k is going to handle the huge processing load. You don't need to be a Kreskin to predict BeOS' future. The hand writing is on the wall: BeOS faces a bleak future. In fact, there won't be any future at all for BeOS, because BeOS is already dead. Things are looking very bad for BeOS on the Palm, and it is widely believed that Palm wasted their $11,000,000 on a rotting corpse. As many of us are already aware, BeOS continues to lose market share. Red ink flows like a river of blood, and developers are quitting like rats from a sinking ship. Due to the troubles of hardware support, abysmal sales and so on, be.com went out of business and was taken over by Palm, a company with little or no PC experience. Now Palm is also losing the market to HandSpring, its corpse turned over to yet another charnel house. All major surveys show that BeOS has lost what little market share it ever had. BeOS is very sick and its long term survival prospects are very dim. If BeOS is to survive at all it will be among OS hobbyist dabblers. BeOS continues to decay. Nothing short of a miracle could save it at this point in time. For all practical purposes, BeOS is dead."
Nvidia has AGP drivers for the TNT cards last time I checked their website. I'll assume you were refering to Palm's handheld AGP support. Wow I wasn't aware they had AGP on those things. A little bit of reseach before you post something will keep the flock in check. peace
I just made the AGP stuff up. Come on, do you expect realistic trolling or something??? I mean, facts? In a troll? No, there should be as few facts as possible.
BTW, don't you recognise the BSD troll? Oh, hang on, with a UID like yours...
[...] which allowed all us BeOS users to get a little peak inside Be Inc.
Not to interrupt or anything, but it's peek. Not peak.
Sorry...I'd mod myself down as off-topic if I could. I'm just seeing this more and more lately, and it bugs me.
