Bertelsman Seeks to Buy Napster

jbc writes: "SF Gate is one of several places carrying the story that Bertelsman, which already invested a significant amount of money in Napster, is now looking to buy Napster outright. This is based on an interview with Bertelsman CEO Thomas Middelhoff that was published last week in the German newspaper Die Welt."

    When I went to class this morning, it was a different teacher with different students. I promptly left, thinking I messed up with my calendar, but I didn't! I can't imagine people going as far as secretly switching with another class to make me feel dumb. Sounds like global conspiracy is true after all.

    Guys, i am desperate :-(

    Ok, there is this girl i like at school and one guy told me to write her a letter.
    I told her i loved her and i wanted to go out with her and stuff. then this morning
    i saw her talking to this dude, and she ignored me. then i said hi, then she told the
    guy i wrote her a letter, and i was all over her going greasy and shit. i mean, she totally
    broke my heart.

    So i am sitting here and thinking, why can't i get with the girls. i mean, every loser gets
    laid escept i?

    i mean, what can i do about this? is there a fucking thing i can do to get a girlfriend?
    i look ok, but i need to work out a bit, but i never have time for that.

    any tips on how to get it on with the fems?

    I think the average /. reader accounts for a negligble percentage of the market Bertelsman are going after, they want the average Joe whos only knowledge of P2P is the massive media coverage and hence brand capital Napster has built up.

    Crap as it may be it may just sell to the majority of internet users out there.. hell look at the numbers using AOL as an ISP !!!!!!
