CmdrTaco: The MacHack Keynote

wka writes "Here's a write up of the keynote that CmdrTaco was apparently giving at the MacHack conference. Armed with a ThinkPad running Linux, Malda revealed to the MacHack crowd Slashdot's secret to success, talked about the site's history, and did some WinXP bashing, among other things."

just about any keynote would look like a failure compared to His Holiness Steve Jobs. Jobs on stage could put Christ to shame.

Rob was kinda funny, and he spent the last half hour playing the Sims on stage. (As an aside, all of Rob's Sims were lesbians, and he seemed to enjoy killing all the men in the game).

Rob actually said: "I am the biggest troll on slashdot"

I hope that next year, MacHack finds someone with more interesting things to say. He came across as a bit arrogant, and didn't really have any real insights into the industry.

I've been wanting to know what is involved in running slashdot. Day-to-day. Rob finally answered:
He explains that his job is to watch TV while playing The Sims on his laptop and somehow manage to post ten to fifteen article per day.

Why am I not surprised? (Bye, bye karma. It was nice knowing you)

Step one: Play games, watch TV, and post articles.
    Step two: ...
    Step three: Profit!

Oh, wait. Gotta work on step three.
