Two Towers Teaser Trailer
SicariusMan writes "Seems there is a Two Towers teaser out at movie-list.com. Thank goodness for the CrossOver Plugin." And Astin writes "Ain't it cool news has a list of mirrors showing the new LoTR trailer. More action and burning and orcs, etc, etc, etc."
I still haven't seen LoTR, SW:E2, or Spider-man.
I haven't been to a theatre in over 5 months. (last movie i saw was 'how high').
Boycott the MPAA.
Linux is dead.

While the technology may be good in and of itself, the only player capable of playing back current files royally, *ROYALLY* sucks. I hate QuickTime player with a passion, even real has a better player design, even though their core technology sucks.
Anyway, you don't have to pay money just to play QuickTime under Linux using Apple's crappy player, wine supports everything from the installer to player itself just fine without commercial enhancements, though without browser enhancements. To avoid having the screen blacked over while using QuickTime, select "n" instead of native or builtin for "ddraw" in the wine config file.
While I realize being this cheap may not be good for codeweavers, I think its important that people realize that playing back QuickTime files (free under windows), does not require money under Linux. Codeweaver's offers good browser integration and a viable platform for Office to run on, but they are not a requirement for running Apple's quicktime player decently.
XML is like violence. If it doesn't solve the problem, use more.
It was at the end of LorR:FotR, so I got to see it on the big screen, why would I want to download it and watch a low quality version on my computer? Or is it just a slow news day?
Things you think are in the Constitution, but are not.
Same thing here. The last movie I saw was Ocean's 11, and the sound kept cutting out during the big finale. We (myself, my wife, and the rest of the people at that screening) got free tickets, and with any luck, the wife and I will be able to cash them in this weekend when the grandparents come down to see the grandkids :)

Apple hardware still too expensive for you? How about a raffle ticket?

Come to the University of Mars! Classes starting soon!
Be prepared to bake your pot brownies (or other baked goods) again for this one. I ate a bunch of "christmas cookies" before seeing the Fellowship of the Ring and man was it a blast.
Here's some hints on baking:
Simmer butter with ganja (and a little water) for at least 2 hours. After 2 hours or so gradually kick up the heat until you are sauteeing the weed and the water is boiled off. Use butter and weed mixture in your baking recipe of choice. Its better if you don't strain out the weed, you'll waste less. Start eating 2 hours before the movie starts to get it to kick in at the right time. You can eat again right before the movie or whenever. Your timing may very. If you eat it before a meal it'll kick in faster since your body will be in digestive mode.
Enjoy! This is a three hour movie and you'll be nicely toasted the entire time, even when you step out of the theatre. Meanwhile the stoners who only smoked up will be sobering up 1 hour into the movie.
