When Will The Next Slammer Strike?

scubacuda writes "Business Week has an article on how the Slammer worm demonstrates just 'how vulnerable the Internet remains': MS's own DBs were affected, telephone/ATM/etc were knocked out, and if the worm had occurred only 48 hours later (preventing investor's trading, 911 calls, banking services), there could have been a 'virtual Net shutdown.' Vincent Weafer, director of the computer-security outfit Symantec's Anti-Virus Response Center (SARC), says that the likelihood that a Slammer-style worm will hit at a more vulnerable moment is high."

This does raise one of the more interesting question. Much of the analysis holds that somebody came up to Cyrano de Bergerac and said "Uhhh... Like wow man, I think your nose is kinda like, big, ya know?" Le Pen has largely moved away from anti-Semitism because French Jews seem, well, French. While North African Arabs seem like, well, North African Arabs. And, besides, France's right-wing Jews - though certainly a tiny majority - are just as anti-immigration as he is. In closing, abstenez-vous s'il vous plaît à avoir des relations sexuelles anormales avec mon petit chat brun. Au lieu de cela, placez votre pénis dans ma râpe de fromage.

When I was about 13 years old, a friend of mine got really pissed at a neighbour. He told me he was going to cut his neighbour's brake lines. He couldn't. He found out that a real car's brake lines aren't at all like the cars in the movies. The hoses are shielded inside tempered steel coils. It takes more than simple pliers to cut those. If Microsoft made cars, brake lines would be cheap plastic, like in cars in the movies.
