I havent read the comments, but I much prefer real life advertisements to fake ones. If they want to simulate the real world, they should have advertisements. Nothing though, ticks me off more than fake products.
From what I understand about online music, we cannot copy it because we are merely "licensing" the right to play it, not own it. This though is in contrast with the statement from Tennessee which says ""Music is included because music downloads fit the definition of personal property,"
Does this mean then that we now own music we download, and can freely do with it what we wish!? If so, tax away.
In regards to Burens comment "I'm now going to have to ponder whether I want to do somemthing like this, or whether I should. I don't know yet because I have no idea whether they would want to be contacted."
Do it, or spend the rest of your life wondering. You will always regret not taking the action, to do something that you know you should have done.
Who cares if they want to know you? YOU WANT TO KNOW THEM!
...another way to annoy the person next to you... Jeez, the perfect thing for those long flights comes along, and its every geeks dream, and you are stupid enough to complain about having wireless internet on a plane??? Get a life, even if we nerds don't.
I personally have 3 PCs Gaming PC 3.0GHZ work / gaming laptop AMD snapstream media pc.
Im thinking about getting an IBook though, since they are so small, and just running the dreamweaver suite/photoshop on it. is photoshop 7 too powerful for the 12 inch Ibook?
also, how long does the battery last watching a movie on an airplane?
and yes, i do have an Ipod and it indirectly got me looking at Macs... since i had to go into the mac store to get a Griffin Itrip
From what I understand of Global Warming, the arctic getting warmer is a problem. According to the article these non-polluting wind farms would make the arctic colder...Bonus!
They are saying the hurricane could be the worst thing to happen to NASA since the fall of the Soviet Union? I personally think it would be great if they were forced to re-think their strategy...after all, "necessity is the mother of invention"
wait, this doesnt make sense "Done before his arrest, TechFocus kept the interview secret so as not to influence the outcome of his trial. It remains his only interview since being arrested." How can it be both before his arrest,... and then be the only interview after being arrested??
lol, the above comment was not offtopic, if you would read slashdot more, you would see that todays poll asked what Nasa's announcement was, and the last option was Cowboyneal saving money on his auto insurance. so, before marking things as offtopic...make sure you doing so out of ignorance.
Yes, a global ID will probably be an initiative put forth by the U.N. , perhaps in an effort to eradicate starvation in all lands by making everyone an ID card to track food shipments.
though i have also seen some people in my area with barcodes tatooed on themselves... that might be an id idea also! that way, if you see a cute chick you want to meet... just grab your cuecat!
How the heck did the yellow star post get marked as offtopic? do you have no knowledge of 20th century history? nazis made Jews wear yellow stars to publicly identify them... and you also had to show ID whenever an SS or Stormtrooper or police officer or judge or MP or any anonymous person asked for it. The above post is saying that the US can become like the nazi state if we allow this kind of raw authority into our civilization. At least, thats my take on it... and if you dont think so all i can say is, "Sieg Heil"
Don't bother wasting the $0.25 on a blank CD. download alcohol 120% from http://www.alcohol-software.com/ It lets you create a fake CD drive in windows, that you can load cd image files on. Therefore, you save the time spent burning disks, by just loading them straight from your hard drive. If you want to be anal about pirating, you can even download cracks for that and get it all free. But as the disclaimer in.nfo files say..."If you like this game, BUY it. We did!"
I still have my Atari Lynx. It works great, except some of the games dont register when i put them in. Paperboy, Chip's Challenge, etc work, but when I try to play my favorite, California Games, it says insert game! Anyway, It was awesome at the time I bought it, though now that I have a GBA that plays Baldur's Gate, it seems even more outdated than it did a year or two ago.
here is a slashdot story from wayback i just found.

I think they meant the Falkland Islands... they will need lots of airships though.
Why don't they just use five ounce birds carrying packets inside of cocounts?
Never underestimate the bandwidth of a pothead DLing weed.
