He hasn't bothered anyone except for terrorists. It is a myth that the Patriot Act damages civil liberties. Far more harm has been done by the recent Campaign Finance Bill, which says that the First Amendment does not apply if you are criticizing politicians.
Hey, that's awesome. Now we can arrest all politicians for criticizing each other and elect an economist or something.
This just in: A gruesome murder was committed in which a family of four was trapped inside their house for two weeks by an insane killer before starving to death.
The flamboyant perpetrator, billing himself "The Playa", somehow removed all the windows and doors, replaced the flooring with concrete, and destroyed all furniture including the toilet and refrigirator while the family was inside. "There was a noise, it sounded kinda like 'Paused, and everything changed," describes the half-eaten diary of Mya Sim, twelve years old.
Just as mysteriously, none of the neighbors noticed the family's plight until it was far too late, despite the house's drastically altered appearance. The police were finally tipped off by someone with the alias of "Game Over", thought to be a rival underground figure.
That was probably first the story, probably collegiate in origin, with aliens thinking that cars specifically were the planet's dominant lifeform and humans were their symbiotes.
Sounds plausible, but did they take into account the federal tax writeoff, and the extra tax writeoff (plus higher gas prices) for Californians?
Also, I remember a car salesman showing me that the 'battery' of one of the hybrids- I forget which, including the brand, but I'm pretty sure it was a Honda- is actually a hundred and fifty D-size consumer batteries in series. That would be a pain and a large expense to replace, but by no means impossible.:)
FreeBSD is open source, unless you're a GNU/Idiot who thinks weak copyleft is nothing but a corporate tool.
Did you mean to say BSD/OS was not open source? In that case, no. Linux was reverse-engineered from UNIX, while BSD/OS and the free BSDs are direct relations.

Oh SCO would just claim the virus code was their IP all along, and claim license fees from everyone who's still running it - people whose IP they can get easily as it keeps contacting their website! I've found out I cannot pass the day without reading the daily SCO item on slashdot. Dennis got into the act after Linus called his code ugly: damn, them be fightin' words!
User interface consistency between different DEs is not a huge concern of mine. Programming interface consistency is; with so many similar features, it should be far easier to make software *both* GNOME-enhanced and KDE-enhanced. Unfortunately, it's likely just as far-off a goal, due to the fact and ideological consequences of KDE being in C++ and GNOME in C.
Yeah, that's iffy, but the last time I claimed outright that GNOME was not object-oriented, I got burninated.
I've never been diagnosed with ADHD, but strongly suspect I have some degree of it. Every time I have tried to learn a programming language more complicated then good old Microsoft QuickBasic, I lose my motivation while getting to grasp the basics- usually about the time when the book instructs you to write an ultra-simplified record keeping suite.
Seeing this article makes me wonder if my experiences with programming are another indicator of ADHD.
Hint, hint: Go to an Apple story, set your threshold to -1, and search for "I don't want to start a holy war here".
I, for one, welcome our new guinea pig overlords.
And how long do the batteries last on that thing? Fifteen minutes?
Macworld. I posted an article about it. :)
http://www.khronos.org/ Now, if someone would implement it...
If someone could make an IRC client that acts like an IM client, not a whole lot.
But why not just use Jabber?
Trouble is, apparently 10.1 and Jaguar alpha/betas were far faster then the final releases.
I wonder if someone at Apple is getting the 'debug' and 'release' defines mixed up.

Hmm... I sense that the next big thing is in divorce law.

Hey, at least building prisons creates jobs, unlike his tax cut.

Klaus has said Knoppix is pronouced with a hard K.
I'm wondering whether the O is short or long, though.
Couldn't you just burn one in ISO9660 format rather then UDF?
I don't use KDE. Can I have gcontrol2 forced on me instead?
Did he also direct Panzer Dragoon Saga?
Because that was probably the single most awesome game of its type I have ever played.

NVidia has much better Linux drivers then ATI. Support 'em.
The 32X has two Hitachi SH2s running at 23 MHz and 40 MIPS.
The GBA has an ARM32 running at 16.7 MHz.
Halo Babies was destined for awesomeness. I'm thinking of raising money to bankroll its production.

Perhaps because it's difficult to raid a site, and equally difficult to convince local governments to, in Vietnam or Bulgaria or similar countries.
