Pendulum Clock with Atomic Precision
u19925 writes "Now you can get atomic clock precision out of your grandma pendulum clocks. Here is how it works: There is a camcorder fitted inside the clock which monitors the pendulum swing. It has an atomic clock signal receiver. It compares the pendulum swings with the atomic signal hearbeat. The camcorder also has an arm. If the pendulum clock drifts, then it uses its arm to push or pull the pendulum to make correction." It's not an April Fool's joke, but it is rather impractical.

Buggah, I nearly had first post but I was too lame to realise it...
Editors forgot how to insert links.
Any "HTML Programmers" care to help?
You forgot a < in there....
It would be nice if the editor fixes that as well... but you know slashdot editors...:(
Slashdot accuracy can now be gotten to 100% by comparing each article to major news sites' articles, and changing them accordingly. (Best accomplished by changing the dns entry for slashdot.org to this)
stopping slashdotting, by breaking hyperlink html code.
editors? No, it's because there anre't any paying subscribers doing their job!
(pre slam) and i'm banging yo sister and momma!!
umm, I don't think it was the editors that wrote the post. They just posted it. I believe it has always been there policy to not change the original content of the person who submitted. Of course, a link where they posted there comment would have been nice.
The Kruger Dunning explains most post on
I think he needs a < somewhere.
Clearly this is proof that Editors don't click the linked pages before posting regularly like the should...
:)
This is also proof that after posting it, they don't preview what they just did.
And the third thing is that after it's been seen already by thousands, they still haven't fixed it.
Oh well, at least that april fool's REAL whitespace language article was good
Cover your eyes and click this link!
PAK CHOOIE UNF!
Slash has a "Preview" feature for posting stories too... any cockgoblin "editor" should do this. But I guess that's too much work... you know, reading the submission.
How the hell it is redundant if it's the first post stating it? The post may be obvious, but it sure is not redundant. And, lazy as I am, I want a clickable link and he provided me. If you don't know how to moderate, leave your mod points alone. And if you agree with me, meta mod constantly.
Maybe the submitter is a HTML programmer. A very good one. Who knows how to combat the /. effect: slow down all slashdotters to give the page time to respond. Stupidity? Or brilliance?

SOMEONE MOD THIS UP!
I know lots of things. Most of them are wrong.
