For a good IDE for Windows that's free try Dev-C++ over at source forge. It's just an IDE but you can get it prepacked with Mingw 3.2 (gnu c++ 3.2). It's great and improving everyday.
At the next eco-hypocrisy-meeting, count the private jets used to get to the meeting. Should be interesting to see that
