Useful Devices for Audio Weblogging?

Henri Poole asks: "I'm advising the Kucinich Presidential campaign on technology and we are looking for an audio webblogging solution. Kucinich's assistant plans to log his own travels and would prefer to do so via voice. We're looking for a device with the following functionality: phone, web, email, audio, and calendar. Verizon is the preferred (but not essential) service and they are advising that we buy Samsung or Kyocera equipment. We'd prefer a free software solution...any sage advice?"

    why dont you first put his political persuasion on the homepage. is he a democrat? republican? fuck if i can tell.

    secondly, shouldnt you be focusing on his platform? why should i vote for him over candidate X? because he audio webblogs?

    then, who is actually going to listen to his audiologs? not me. although his plee for gay marriages would im sure make for some good 'out of context' soundbites.

    lastly, how the FSCK did this get on slashdot? are we a turnkey consultancy? cant he pay someone to keep up his air of tech savvery? i mean pay someone that knows their shit and dosent go straight to ask /.

    just my 2 cents.

      it matters because its not there. they have more important things to be thinking about than audiologging solutions. his end goal is to get elected. stating his party on his website helps that. they think audiologging is going to help him get elected. they are overlooking the small things and going straight to the technical.

      i understand that others may too be interested, but this is from a tainted source. its like Dubya asking for help on foreign policy. if your hired to do a job, you should already be qualified for it. you shouldnt have to rely on a public web forum to do your job.

      So you noticed the same-sex marraige item on the candidate's page and you think there's a chance that he's a Republican?
