G5s Start Shipping

jocknerd writes "Apple is now shipping its G5. The 1.6ghz and 1.8ghz are shipping while the dual processor 2.0ghz will ship at the end of the month."

    False, at least from a technical standpoint (I don't care about sales numbers, I care about getting work done). I write xplat Win/MacOS software, and this is not the case. 10.0.4 sucked, but 10.2.n has been a breath of fresh air.

    If even .5 of Apple's "It'll just run faster" claims are true, my back-ordered dual CPU G5 will be worth it.

    (gotta run, Timbuktu tells me that the .NET compiler hung my Windows box trying to clean a build again...)
